The shield still detonates if the timer runs out anyway, but yes he cannot denonate manually while silenced.

Thank you for the answers! Good to know...I finally know who to pick when I see Sion. I generally have been doing Riven top lane. Sion vs. Riven is painful.

Eh I can never quite seem to get the shield down in time as Riven. I am fine last-hitting under my tower but it seems I can't really deny his farm. What is the key to Scion vs Riven?

The ONLY thing I blame Dignitas for is Voyboys release statement congratulating CDE and saying that they were the rightful team to go to WCG and that he was confident that WCG would change their mind and reinstate CDE as the champions... followed up by playing the game and then taking the spot.

If you were just blowing smoke up everyone's ass, don't waste our time or insult our intelligence.

Exactly this, they play by what they thought were the actual rules, they accepted their loss, they congratulated CDE and after all that they asked the admins about the rules and played another set, when the rules clearly stated otherwise. Pretty sure that if dignitas had won the first game they would've taken it as the win and WCG admins would''ve never been contacted about it.
You can say and defend dignitas all you want but if you can''t see that what they did with the additional set was wrong then I don't know what''s wrong with you.

I feel that Panth is the AD version of Kassadin in a way. Over all, he's a fairly subpar pick but he can counter certain champions in lane so hard and just snowball to victory.

He''s also one of the easiest ganks ingame, most annoying thing about playing pant.

He can simply farm in that case and kill her when he has a bruta. Riven can''t really trade with pant because of his passive.

He'll get Bruta around when she gets Wriggle's. He can't combo her from full, she'll have decent sustain with Wriggle's + E to block spears, and she outscales him HARD lategame, so trading farm is much better for her.

you mean panth can't trade with riven because she has no mana?

cloth + 5 pots forces pantheon to burn through 1000 additional HP before actually doing significant damage, PLUS the armor makes that 1000 HP worth more. meanwhile riven can pop her (free) shield once every couple of spears to even further reduce your damage (and further up the mana cost of doing significant damage to her). AND riven is one of the few champs i wouldn't like to walk up and try to autoattack like i do against most top matchups because she can either just bounce away or bounce into you and trade autos thanks to her passive

not to mention that riven can either go wriggles for the sustain, or just go cloth -> tabi -> atma's to completely negate your damage while giving her significant damage in return

it's just a really bad matchup for panth imo. an average panth can beat an average riven, but i don't think a good panth stands a chance against a good riven

You''ll still come out ahead when trading because of pant passive>riven passive. Wriggles for sustain doesn''t matter that much when you stab her everytime she cses and nothing is stopping you from going tabi.

Shameless blog plug.
TL;DR I'm looking for a couple people to start doing some arranged 5s with, but was unsure where in the subforum to post. If anyone's interested check out the blog or PM me.

Now to contribute: on the subject of AD casters top lane, is it possible for a Wukong to beat Nasus top lane? Scrimming with a friend I would always get real greedy and he'd FB me as he hit 6 (me playing Nasus, him on Wukong), but then I'd farm up and push him out as only Nasus can do. I know Panth shuts him down real hard and Riven does an ok job as well, but I feel like Wukong's inability to harass without being up in Nasus's face is what screws him.

She outscales him because Panth has to build some tanky stats or risk being blown up whereas Riven gets naturally tanky by building pure AD.

I honestly don't see Panth winning the lane especially if the Riven starts Cloth+5 and heck she can even max E over W if it's really an issue.

You don''t need to win the lane you just need to get your farm then you jump on 2 squishies like a proper assassin and kill them.
