It's the same guy that used to say ad shaco solotop was legit. Actually it's Odds who first advocated that but I still advocate it, solotop AP shaco is totally amazing And it's not because I stomped some noobs with it o_o It just feels super strong, kind of like pre-nerf Garen did.

Ashe is what I'd consider a garbage jungler.

so first of all, I absolutely hate sharing farm, and most teams at my level don't have jungle (jungle is the only role that I have no clue how to play)... although playing draft mode instead of blind pick seems to have helped. should i just learn how to jungle? i'm kind of hesitant though because i don't like the idea of trusting my teammates to leash for me and to have a 1v2 top lane... plus my runes are pretty bad. for runes, how long can i put off buying good runes before they'll have a major impact on the game? i've been saving almost all my IP for champions just because i figure unlocking new champions gives me more fun/IP than runes (i usually don't like playing the same champions very long).

Nunu has a built in smite that heals him so he can't actually fail at jungling. meh, I wouldn't recommend WW to start; it's such a pain to gank with him. When I first went into jungling, I started with WW, because I read that WW is the "jack of all trades" and very strong and solid jungler. Well this is true, but you can also say that he doesn't excel at anything. But the biggest reason why you don't want to jungle WW in the beginning or lower elos is because your lanes will fail all the time, and as a weak pre-6 ganker you can't do shit about that. This will cause your lanes to lose, and snowball into inevitable defeat. Beginners also don't know how to play safetly, buy wards, not overextend. So you need to abuse that with strong gankers. Oh and another reason, since pre-6 WW ganks are the shittiest thing ever. Especially, you are not lvl 30, this is actually a double whammy, first the opponent team will probably not have a jungler and you will have a 1v2 lane, then your solo top won't know how to handle this matchup. Having a weak ass ganker like WW really really really sucks in this situation. Your top lane will start with a doran's blade and then blame you for not ganking. I am taking the time to tell you this, because I don't want you to make the same mistake that I did. Playing WW was SOOOOO painful in the beginning. Don't get me wrong, WW is a VERY VERY strong champion. He has a 80% att speed steroid and a 40% as bonus to allies. He can permanently have a 40% movement speed buff. And he has a nuke/heal that SCALES off HP (20% of HP). Then, there is his passive: with a madred's blood razor, wit's end and his steroid, he does 2 attacks in 1 second, so for 10 seconds of attacking on a single target, he can heal more than 1000 hp without any lifesteal. Then there is his ultimate, an instant 1.8 suppression with an impressive 700 range. Anyway: For starting, you can jungle with fiddlesticks, udyr, or noct. they have powerful ganks, and add great utility for your team. I recommend getting shaco, because of his strong ganks and u can abuse that against beginners. The order of preference: Shaco: he has invisibilty, he is getting another buff, he offers great ganks. Beginners have trouble against stealth characters. The fact that you will need to gank a lot because you will have a lot of 1v2 lanes due to lack of enemy junglers makes shaco a great pick. Fiddlesticks: Super easy to jungle, decent ganks pre-level 6. Post level 6, you melt people consider that beginners don't buy MR, and usually pick squishies. You should expect to faceroll. Noct: Can gank before lvl 6, scales well into late game. Super ganks after lvl 6, can dive like no other. Udyr: Can gank before lvl 6, pretty tanky, really fast clearing times, you can clear enemy jungle camps. GP/lee sin: Never jungled with these guy personally, the reason is because I expected lee sin and GP to get nerfed when they got "discovered" after their buffs. And didn't want to risk spend so much IP, in case they nerfed them into a mordekaiser.

Also, when theres a 1v2 lane your jungling will involve you being in that lane a LOT (depending), and his presence in lane in the early game is pretty decent. Sometimes it will turn into "take 1-2 small camps, go back to lane for a while." and just be at a level advantage because you're taking small camps and they aren't.

You'd want to get some jungler with a godlike gank that allows you to carry the shit out of your team, the last couple pages of this thread have some nice examples. For runes, you should probably get tier1's. They offer like 50% of what t3 gives you for about a tenth of the price. Learning to jungle is something i can really reccomend. Back when i started playing udyr i got objectively better at this game

In other news, I'm surprised no one mentioned that Reginald got banned. He went through and talked about all the WCG shit on Solomid and on the official forums. Most of it was stuff we already knew but he also mentioned the name of the contractor that WCG hired for North America as well as revealing that Voyboy told that WCG contractor that Canada had played two sets (although it's unclear if Voyboy was misinformed or if he intentionally lying). Apparently Reginald got banned for it and now the forums are up in arms over that too.

T1 runes are dirt cheap and when you decide it's time to switch to T3 you can just play the lottery with them anyway. 21 T1 runes built for jungling cost only 550 IP.
