I am honestly questioning if its worth putting in the time to attempt to compete by dragging to 30 then trudging my way to a high elo and then finding a decent team\clan as opposed to doing the same in Sc2 (getting high masters for weekly tourny's) which admittedly relies less on other people for success
I am 15 in game now, played dota for about 6 years before quitting a while ago so I am familiar with the ARTS genre.
On the flip side being competitive in a ARTS requires less time. Just invest in $25 in riot points and buy some exp boosts. You should be able to hit 30 in about 2 weeks of playing. I did the majority of leveling for Smash's smurf, and it only took like 75 games. Even after 30 there is a lot of work involved to become competitive just curious if its worth it over sc2 where I am better at LoL currently. why is this aquestion? Shouldn't you just play the game if you enjoy it? I mean either you really like the game and spend time playing it for fun, in which case it isn't a grind at all, or you want to be ACTUALLY competitive (as in a pro) in which case the 100 game grind to 30 isn't even a chip in the time you're going to be playing. I dunno, don't mean to be rude, just seems like a funny question, play the game if you enjoy it!!

It's about 250-300 games to get to 30 from 1.

I don't think anyone should go into any game with the mindset of, "I want to be competitive at this game."
Just play it and have fun. If you enjoy it a lot you'll play it more and then you'll get better and then you can think about being competitive.

I'm sorry to TapiocaBall, Rhavanna, Rawrzr, and EDWARDIAN. My ISP is #1 suck and so my internet died on me again before the game even started. :/

Missy has over a thousand viewers, I quit.

Alternatively, you could get a boobjob.
Edit: You made me check her stream. Pushes bot as Cait vs Ashe, no tower up on her side. Tries to push Ashes tower, says "Hm, I have no flash." - dies to Ali who walks in from Dragon. The end. Trollol.
Loci, go turn yours on.

You've been getting gradually higher numbers of viewers though. I think it's worth it to keep going

You need drama or boobs for viewers, just manufacture some inner-Loci rage at solo q and the viewers will come! (or just put up a fake webcam gif of a female)

turning up your volume would help a lot

Its a matter of efficiency, I have limited time and the desire to play at an amateur level, again forget the word pro. I like both games, I prefer LoL but that is because I am a ARTS player before I ever touched an RTS (only RTS I played was customs in BW).
I have no qualms playing 1000000 games in either, however I do have qualms doing so if its not worth the time once I get there since the game changes so drastically at high levels for both of them.
I hear horror stories about Elo hell and how much 1 person can ruin it for you that I wanted peoples opinions on the matter at hand as opposed to drawing my own conclusions. And its not rude you have a legitimate point but its misguided by thinking I only like 1 game.

Can someone recommend some fun dps melee champs to me?

If you want someone squishy, you can carry yourself really high really fast with Master Yi. He's also capable of jungling without runes. (oh and really cheap, 450 ip)
If you want a top tier sort, try Lee Sin, who's extremely mobile and can lane or jungle easily.
Other than that, just try everyone and see who clicks. Riven will be free next week I think, and Mundo is nice and cheap (not so DPSy but eh).

Is there any way to edit something to make Cass's Q not be smartcast?

No. I wish riot did something about it, including Karthus Q.

Hey, can any of the semi-highlevel players here tell me why shen is considered a second rate char?
His mobility and ability to actually pull enemies off of your squishies are both excellent.

Shen isnt good in virtually any lane and is a really slow jungler and has alot of ramp up time to be tanky.
In reality, pure 'tanks' dont really fit into current meta, unless they fill a specific role exceedingly well like Amumu in the jungle or Alistar bot or Singed top. Where would you put shen? He will lose top vs most laners, mid is out of the question, and he needs farm to do his job so he cant support bot.
I'd take a champion with solid initation > a champion that does nothing but initation any day, and right now there are several that do that.

Okay, so they release some of Xerath's abilities and his passive is an AP > armor conversation.
Can MoonBear explain this? I thought Riot hated these passives and were trying to remove them from the game. Do they find it okay because it's only armor and not MR, and it's not like a HP conversation that helps against everyone? Does it have awful numbers?
