I'll wait to judge the new items. Jarvan nerfs are okay, but laughable if they think it'll actually do anything. Nocturne and Karthus nerf is meh. Shen change is retarded. He's strong cause of his ult, not cause he "deals too much damage" without having to itemize. Gangplank sucks. So they increase his range...yea...>.> Sunfire cape nerf is retarded. The damage it dealt is negligible with any decent amount of mres unless they get it retardedly early in which case your team is probably feeding and will lose anyways. Wit's End was just starting to see more play. It will now go back to being unused. 20 bonus magic resist after 5 hits? real Riot is making more and more questionable changes...As soon as an item gets useful, they nerf it so it's useless. If a champ is OP, they make changes so that people will think they fixed the champ while it really does nothing. If a champ is useless, they make it more useless or make a change that does absolutely nothing. | ||

Wit's End in the preview vid was 2000 gold, and for that you get 42 damage on-hit, 40% aspd, and 30 to 50 MR. It's certainly true that the on-hit magic damage isn't worth as much as 42 AD would be (it doesn't scale with crit or make abilities scale), but for champs like Teemo or Kog'Maw or Trundle or Warwick where you don't particularly care that it's not actual AD you get it's crazily efficient. It's no longer a good item for poking down mana pools, yes, but it's even better for champs who just bought the item for its stats before, because it's now cheaper and provides more stats. | ||

The issue is that Wit's End was taken mostly because of it's passive of making tanks more or less useless. If you want attack speed, malady is a more cost-efficient choice. The magic resist is pretty nice, but it's not worth spending that much gold on. Getting a BV or something would be a much better use of your gold and item slot. The 42 extra damage is magic damage, which means for most auto-attacking carries is pretty worthless. For champs like Teemo and Kog'Maw, you're much better off just getting malady. | ||
