EPT80% of the time i queue for ranked, i'm stuck with people who can't CS properly, feeds in lane and overall doesn't communicate with the team. I play what fits my team (support/jungler/ap/ad/solo top), i try to be the "leader" of the game and i do well in most cases. But how the fuck do you counter retards? And don't give me any bullshit with "carry harder", cause obviously there's something wrong when you play, say ad carry, go 10-0 or some shit, you ward and try to control the map and make sure nobody makes silly mistakes but you still end up losing because people are morons. I've even tried being nice to people and not flaming them instead telling them what they should do better, but the overall response is "stfu noob l2p". Meh i hate solo queue..

For every crappy player on your team, there's an equally crappy player on the other team, unless you really got unlucky, but that sort of unluckiness generally does not maintain for long stretches of time. If you don't recognize who the crappy player is on their team, you need to carry harder. It's fairly simple. If bot lane is dying, then gank bot lane. etc. etc. You don't need to win significantly more to rise in rating, if that's what your goal is. So that means you're extremely middling, and so you're getting carried some games, getting dragged down other games, and being overall very mediocre. | ||

I carried myself to 1600ish with junglers and op shit solo top only pretty much, decided to learn AP/AD carries, dropped all the way to 1300 where I learned a lot new champs. Since riot decided to prolong S1 i decided I want my elo back. Some random things: People suck. Very bad. I play stuff that can abuse that to hell and back. Annie/TF/Malz for mid. Jungle/Support/AP mid are the strongest imho. What I -really- learned at that elo is to punish mistakes. You have to be the guy that rapes someone simple because he makes so many mistakes, no matter the matchup. Stuff like TF vs Annie suddenly because rape if the Annie has to use Q to lasthit and doesn't save her stuns. Also make sure to punish failpicks on the enemy team. First pick vlad? Snatch that Annie/Malz and rape him. PS: A major thing: Don't argue with people on your team. The attitude you should communicate is "I dont fucking care what you do, I carry anyway." - I had one awesome game with Galio top who rushed thornmail vs Vlad/Akali solo lanes, Udyr jungle and Ashe bot. "Why thornmail?" - "Cause of Udyr/Akali/Ashe? l2p newb lol" was what I got. Our MF rushed swiftboots into phantom dancer. What did I do? Encourage people, make sure they trust my calls, and go 18-4-16 as Annie. tl;dr: Carry harder. | ||

tl;dr: Carry harder. This is entirely wrong. If it was an issue of "carrying harder", then why was guardsman bob just in the 1400s? It's an issue of play a shitton more games, and you'll get to the ELO you're supposed to be at. | ||

It's true though that it's elo hell for most people, as some people simply aren't good enough to completely 1v5, and that shouldn't even be expected of them. | ||

He had a lucky streak and then the bad luck streak got him back to were he belonged. After 2500 games you are at the skill level you represent. Even with bad teammates, almost every game at that Elo is winnable if you carry hard enough. If bigfatjiji (to name a random high Elo player) was playing, you can bet he would carry the crap out of his team. If you don't do that, then you're not carrying as hard as you could be. There really aren't many uncarryable games, just games that you currently aren't good enough to carry in. | ||

You assume people play at the same level all the time. When he was at 1700 he was playing xin zhao and udyr every game and playing them well, often carrying hard. When he's at 1400 he's playing sivir and expecting to outwin after farming for 30 minutes. I am almost 1900 but I just went 3/10 in solo normal with leona because all I did was troll around all the time. People play well on some days and sometimes the mindset is a big thing. | ||
