I remember asking this and being told having 2 bottom lane was better for dragon control. There are differences between jungles. Old Nunu and Old GP with deny first could get a sick 2xlvl2 vs lvl 1 gank after blue on top lane for bot spawn. Other than that... there are probably much more important things to worry about until you reach higher elo (which I am not... so i'll shutup now).

hm according to guinsoos twitter they wanna make a jungleremake.
one of the points he said is that more champs should be able to jungle, so i asked myself who would be good junglers? like what skillsets are nice for a jungler? i guess many disables are good, blitzcrank jungle seems pretty funny in my mind

come with double buff and w speed buff out of a brush and if they flash just hook them back, trololo

so here's my concern about the jungle remake

on the one hand I've come around to riot's viewpoint on junglers, having someone constantly mia is stupid and pushes passive play very hard.

on the other hand

1) What guinsoo is describing doesn't seem to make you any less likely to be ganked. He says the jungler NEEDS to gank to stay even under new system.

2) If jungling becomes legit optional, well, I hate duo laning, and a lot of champions simply are not viable unless they get a solo lane (akali). I think having two duo lanes in every game would be a very bad thing.

The bigger issue is wards and oracle to be honest, and I can understand the primary reasons behind the jungler remake. For me the biggest issue isn't so much the existence of junglers, so much as how it's absolutely necessary (why not be able to counterpick a strong solo lane top by 2v1ing and forcing their team to react?) and the fact that at the moment, jungle heroes all become extraordinarily strong solos due to the things that make them good junglers. Riot desperately wants to curb the solo sustain, but at the same time this can and will wreck jungle viability of many heroes, which is a losing situ.

I see a number of potential consequences to the proposed jungle remake:

Counter-jungling will be limited to buffs/direct confrontations. Faster small camp spawn times means jacking them becomes too risky with too little reward.
Ganking becomes psychologically easier on the jungler. It's easier to abandon creep camps when you know that no matter what you'll have something to clear when you get back.
Sustain shifts from a focus on health to a focus on mana/resources.
Mid lane increases in importance, as champions who can quickly clear their creep wave can also clear Wraiths whenever the jungler is ganking or holding a lane.
Jungle Teemo actually becomes viable.

Of those, the sustain shift is possibly the biggest. It's assumed currently that blue goes to the jungler because taking the mana regen, exp and gold away from them can cripple them. Rapid respawns on small camps makes two out of those three reasons moot. As such, the preference will be to use junglers who can operate without blue buff, passing it to an AP/Carry/Support even at level 1. Ideally your jungler would only exit the jungle to gank or the buy, never needing to back due to health/mana reasons.

At the moment, giving a jungler free reign over both jungles is tantamount to suicide because they'll actually level as fast if not faster than a solo ;/ That, IMO, is the biggest "issue" right now with not having a jungler. Otherwise there're plenty of ways to really bottle up a solo laner 2v1.

Considering your only "tank" would be taric and he would either need to share farm with Brand or give it all up so won't have any items to tank.......? I don't see that working well lol. Besides that's not enough damage usually. Even with someone like Brand + another high damage AP carry + MF.

my theory on the no jungle team comp is that it's actually a double jungle teamcomp in disguise with the junglers hovering around the lanes for zoning purposes when needed and then ducking off to farm jungle when not.

Probably how it'd need to be, and would be much more viable if Guinsoo's ideas kick in (where more heroes can actually clear half the jungle).

I think Guinsoo has good ideas. Implementation is another thing but he seems to have a good feel for what's "wrong" in this case, just judging from the twitter posts.
