Around level 12 I just asked politely, "can we dial the salt back a bit?", and then johanna/thrall were silent. We played our hearts out, with all our keeps gone[garden of terror] while all their keeps/two forts remained. Holy hell it was tough to constantly teamfight in mid, then have to back to get catapults off our core. Game ended around 26 minutes with us down to 30% core health, but we finally took a fight and teamwiped the enemy team, then were able to rush core. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't asked the competent players to stop raging we would have just lost the game. Really when you are a good player and you rage at teammates, you are doing a disservice to the team: the enemy is getting free stuns in on the best players on the team. Once we had our best players doing stuff 100% of the time, we were able to scrape by many skin-of-our-teeth engages and pull through. | ||

COME ON, GOD DAMMIT, Artanis needs the buff! EDIT: Fuck Li Ming too, she supposed to be a Specialist or an Assassin, because I don't think I've seen a specialist roast Towers and Forts like she does. | ||

Also how their drafts are usually fucking disasters too. Obviously sicne they are also 2 barely literal Polacks all they can say in English is "fuck ur mother" edit: literally the same fucking thing happens in my next game, with duo q of raynor and liming that didnt come to bosses or tributes and just kept pushing their top lane. 1st pick kerrigan that never came for ganks, died 1v1 to gazlowe and facechecked bruisers 1v5 didnt help | ||

Just 0.75s stun duration to Lunar flare has to be a joke, she takes almost 0.5s just to cast it... and isnt a guarantee hit. I get its because the stun meta, and can be OP when combo'ed, but she is now way weaker in solo Q because its impossible to punish positional mistakes. Blizzard being retard as usual, just create a mechanic that if the target was stuned in any period of time, the following lock downs after 2s has diminishing returns. Retard company is retard. | ||

If you forget Reghar and Li Ming I think a lot of heroes are viable today, and Tyrande is still awesome. The problem is she's not 65% winrate Reghar, so you're at a disadvantage if you have any support which is not Reghar. But a good Tyrande is way more powerful than a meta-monkey Reghar. | ||

To me, was her long range stun that punishes opponents positional mistakes. The stun was just long/hard enough to enable my allies to catch up and secure the kill. At 0.75s it doesn't fit this job anymore, and i feel it became a completely useless ability now except to break channeling spells. Lunar flare aside, before the nerf, her lack of heal was compensated by a low trait cooldown + high damage output for a healer, and Blizzard took all away... i am not sure how/why should i play her anymore. | ||

- Her stun is good in a combo, - Her master pink armor is awesome - Her ultimate is very good for teamfights and ganks - She has global presence with her ultimate of course, so you can save that overextending Zagara. - She has global presence too + map awareness with her mana hungry owl. - I love using mark, it really melts front line heroes. - Trueshot aura is very powerful and people don't notice it so it's even more dangerous. I also love how she's lacking in heal (well I go for shield usually) until 10 and then after Shadowstalks is picked you win all the fights because you have so much healing at once. She has many unique abilities. Cloaking a whole team is unique, sending a traveling spectral bird accross the map is unique (I killed 1 Sonya from accross the map in HL saturday by anticipating where she'd escape YOU COULD HEAR ME SCREAMING MY JOYYYYY), trueshot aura is unique, mark is an interesting tweak as it's the only mana-free available from start 4 seconds vulnerability. She feels unique and TBH her winrate is second to reghar's because of his OPness. :-) I understand what you say, and you're right, but she was OP and that was a bad thing for the game. And now I get to play her more which is good. :-) | ||

Then he flamed the whole team for not understanding how this game plays. He never ever participated in any fight. We lost in 30 minutes after dominating 20 full minutes and throwing 3 or 4 times in a row, letting game winning opportunities pass at least twice. I spent 10 minutes explaining it to him after the game but, well, it's the Internet, if you want to be delusional about yourself, go ahead noone can make you face the truth. edit: played 3 games today: - Game 1 and 3: 2 Abathurs in draft, 2 noobs with no map awareness - Game 2: Johanna who SOLO suicides 4 or 5 times in the whole game and a noob Zag who can't land a Maw (that Zag was Abathur in the next game we're so lucky). Johanna almost never was here for the fights. FUCK THIS DAY ^^ | ||

Except than that I agree with you Larkin (and ThomasjServo and MotherFox), I'd report for that. TBH I think I report 1 people almost every HL game, and I think I often get reported too as I HAD a tendency to pick on players who utterly suck. When someone starts insulting they usually report you for whatever so we all get reports from time to time. That means there are thousands of reports everyday, so no, they don't investigate at all. And it may be unfair sometimes, like trying to make someone play with the team while he insults you and you stayed polite, and both of you report each other. He's at fault, nor you, but the reports have approximately the same weight. I do think that your reports are weaker if you use it a lot, and if you get reported a lot. The system will consider you and untrusted source for reports and lower your impact. I'm pretty sure it's that as it's impossible to make a human check this, and it's easy to script something like that. Foxxan it's only normal you end up with a silence. I'll get one someday I think, it's not a big deal just disable allied chat so that you don't read their bullshit at all during your time. :-) (it doesn't disable draft chat so you can read them in draft) BUT Blizzard should do 2 quick fixes here: - your allies should be allowed to know in draft that you are muted. Else THEY get punished for it, and you too as the draft will probably be terrible and you'll get more reports because of it. - your team (and NOT the opponents) must see when you disable allied chat, because it'll prevent people from getting mad at you for not listening the chat. These 2 small fixes would lower toxicity a lot. And I have a personal rule, if you draft a niche hero against the will of the team and we lose because of you, I report you. (2 fu cking Abathurs yesterday) | ||

I don't know that I like your team knowing that you turned off chat, I play without chat more often than not. | ||

But at my smurf account's level (rank 9 or so now) if you pick Abathur you have to be way better than the current level to really make a difference so you take full responsibility on this. You have to be aware people are not used to play with Abathur, you have to be the shotcaller, to push, to contribute to fights... in more than 2k games I probably only played with 3 or 4 good Abathurs. Picking him will trouble your whole team. But that's not the whole point. Picking Abathur is not a fault. BUT if you make your team all in by picking Abathur (or Cho Gall, or double healer, or no healer, or no warrior) AGAINST the will of the team (so you were a dick in draft) you deserve to get reported. If you play against your team you deserve to be banned in my book. ThomasjServo > wow thanks for the information. I had 2 games with muted people today (fuck me) and I didn't notice at all. It gets cute when they start spam pinging you in game because they can't talk. :D | ||
