Just played a game vs beginner AI, and KT says straight up "Sylvanas is level 8, what a noob" and start insulting her because beginner AI is for dailies. Then starts to insult everyone as soon as I ask him to not insult in AI games.
So he says I'm a noob, I reply I'm rank 5, he wouldn't believe me. He says I'm a kid, well I'm 34 so I HAVE kids in fact. Then he says he reports everyone (I guess he got reported by everyone).
He was a former LOL player, currently rank 11 (2,5k games), which as we all know allows you to insult everyone. And we all know you are not allowed in beginner AI games if you're an actual beginner.
That was the most WTF person I ever met in this game.
xDaunt: I feel you there, everytime I see a rank 1 paired with a rank 25 squishy hero I start to cry. Even though I'm not rank 1 this shit happens quite often in fact. Oh and thanks a lot for your advices on Thrall. :-) Just bought him, after 10 awesome QM I'm now about to use him in HL. He's really great.

I normally thought it was the other way around, heh. When I see a rank 1 paired with someone much lower, I usually assume the lower ranked player has gone "pls play HL with me my team always sucks".

Any Abathur player who takes Evolve Monstrosity in Hero League or any other serious game should be forced to forfeit the hero and lose all rights to play Abathur ever again.

Agreed.
This particular Abathur did body soak, but taking Evolve Monstrosity handicaps a team so badly. Every fight was a 4v5. We actually managed to win thanks to some pretty bad late game teamfight screw ups by the other team, but Evolve Monstrosity did nothing. He took down one fort with my help after we won a teamfight, but that was it.

I had an Aba the other day who had 300 xp contribution when they hit level 10. We had just hit level 8. I wonder why.
I must have told him at least 10 times, with pings, to soak while we contested the objective. No response. He may as well have been afk.
For sure one of my biggest issues with the EU server - you come across a lot of people who simply do not speak English to a capable degree and consequently don't understand team chatter. Not always a big deal - but can be vitally important.

And yet another loss to this. And to compound matters, the Rank 1 in this instance was also an outright retard. We need a tank, and he picks fucking Azmodan. And of course his newb friend playing Jaina fed and did zero damage to anyone. Goddamn, I hate this game sometimes.

This game is goddam frustrating. I finally climb up to rank 1 and go on a decent streak before match making decides to screw me up the ass with team mates that literally don't know how to play the game. Last game consisted of a diablo/tyrande that couldn't chain a single stun together and the diablo just charges into the enemy without waiting for tyrande. Not to mention Tyrande did less hero damage than the enemy Malf.
Yes, let's pick lunara when the the rest of the team is kt, tyrande, tass, and raynor. That will fill the gap.

Talking about meta, I played a very strange game yesterday. People go standard picks and everyones agree I get Nova as last pick. We have Lili. Suddenly the guy who drafts along me picks Malfurion. Draft lobby kinda explodes in whining, and curses to the matchmaking god. So of course I cannot go Nova with 2 healers, and switch to Thrall.
The guy says "Hey I'm DPS Malfurion, I'm OP at 20". Strange thing to say for a troll pick so maybe the guy actually can make this work ?
Turns out he does. He was a monster. Took both DPS level 10 and 20 talents, took monfire, treant... We won easily on Pirate, and by easily I mean we allowed ourselves 2 lost teamfights on their core and were still ahead by 2 levels and 4 or 5 forts.

I'm ashamed to say I didn't even pick my level 20, but it was my first HL game with Thrall.
If I remember well, he topped DPS on our team, with KT, Thrall and Diablo around it's quite impressive.

DPS Malf is fuckin legit. My friend and I were tearing shit up as damage based Lili and Malf in QM the other day.

Against what comps do you see DPS Malf work the best?

It kinda works against every comp except a full autoattack comp. He's a healing ranged assassin boomkin with roots and a silence. Played it several times in QM and never lost a game.. mostly because people just dont expect it.

Note to future Tychus players: Kill the freaking healer when I've got their team in a mosh pit, not the tanks.

Tychus is also surprisingly good vs Murky.
Bubbling doesn't cancel Overkill so often its duration continues after the bubble ends and you still get the kill, especially if you have the grenade off cooldown.
My QQ this time is people not adapting their talents to the enemy team.
So we go on BB (my most hated map because coins drop on death) and we get a Nova + Zeratul vs our squishy team with a Sylvanas and Zagara on it. Hard, but not impossible. We have a Kharazim vs their Tyrande so we atleast have Divine Palm. However, both Sylv and Zag constantly wander out way too far, and neither of them get spell shield at 13 and get repeatedly blown up and keep feeding coins to the enemy team. At one point Sylv has 15 coins from her dead teammates and just wanders straight into the enemy team. Sigh.
In another game where we also had a Sylvanas, Zagara and a Lunara, with me playing Arthas and a friend playing Diablo we end up doubling the rest of the team's damage. Sylvanas and Zagara just got barely any damage in and both were under 10k damage at lvl 10. Lunara caught up a bit later but both me and Diablo were topping the damage charts by far against a mostly ranged enemy team. I play both Sylv and Zag a lot and doing damage with them is so easy with Q spam and W from Sylv and Hydra/AA from Zag. How can you end up dealing so little damage?

4 of us on Sky Temple near boss, other team is defending a merc push, I initiate boss fight.
Diablo leaves us and lanes mid.
Enemy team comes just as the boss is at a sliver of HP
We get wiped plus enemy caps boss
Diablo: "YOU RETARD, WHY DID YOU GO FOR BOSS"
Me: "They were clearly defending a push bottom, if you were here helping we would have capped that boss no problem"
Diablo: "NO THEY WERE JUST WAITING FOR BOSS TO BE WEAK"

Later...
5v5 fight at entrance to middle lane of our base
Me: "Stay as 5 guys"
Diablo moves up and attacks bruiser camp
All 5 enemy team start running to merc camp
I mighty gust them away

Thezzy: Honestly I hate double specs teams. And I hate having Sylvanas on the team, she's too weak right now, especially since there isn't Mines anymore.
Diablo can top damage now, but Zagara have to be really close imo, else she doesn't do her job in fights.
I can really see double cloak being powerful on Pirate, it's one of my best maps with Nova, by far.
Ryzel: I hate playing with people who think they have better things to do than to play with the team. They often make us lose.
Lost to a 3 warriors team yesterday, and we really felt powerless. Not any 3 warriors team, like with Valla or Raynor AA our asses. No, 3 warriors Tyrande Nova. How can Nova even work on this team ?!
They pick Nova first, our 1st player goes KT. Well, another idiot, HL is full of it. But at the end of the draft I was pretty confident it'd be an easy win.

We won all fights before 10 (2 levels lead), and then Shadowstalk + Sanctification + 3 tank dive sealed our fate.
They dived us all the time, KT wouldn't stay in the back, so we lost every fight. And our partners wouldn't stop focusing Artanis because he always looks like he's about to die until shield-shield-shield-shield and shiiiiieeeeld.
ETC never landed a pogo (what did you expect vs Tyrande dude?). Kharazim felt pretty useless.
What could we do ? Maybe we yolo dive Tyrande ? We kite them (would have worked without noob KT) ? I was Raynor, and didn't play extremely well but at least I tried to stay in the back in fights. I should have picked banshees I guess (while 3 warriors dive us, Diablo + Banshees on Tyrande or Nova may have worked).
