Blizzard makes money, people get what they want (access or someone else subsidizing our f2p game) - win/win. | ||

That zeratul skin=insta buy, im literally buying it right now.  But yeah, the people with, at least the wonder billy mount on the game is riddiculous, at least 5 people every match, i don't think this game will be a finalcial flop. Maybe won't be as big as lol, but it will be succesful. | ||

Smite sells all the actual and future heroes per $30. blizzard sells 3 heroes + beta access for $40. they are overpricing its product. maybe they want a small game different, without all the numbers of LoL and dota. | ||

Smite is a game from a "small" indy studio. Activision Blizzard is a multimillion dollar company, and more importantly, has to make money for its investors, if you think they are going to charge the same thing, well, "you're wrong". Its not feasible. LoL also does kinda the same thing, its just that the prices are "hidden" in the RP. Sometimes even when a hero cost less than 10 dollars, you need to buy 10 dollars in riot points to buy it, and then you got sompe spare that is almost worthless unless you buy muy rp. Since we're still talking about the Founder's pack Into the Nexus brought up a really good point - the Founder's Pack is almost identical to the Battle Bundle in the game (different mount, obviously no beta access). So people already playing the game are kind of like "that's just how it is" when others complain about the price. Also, the Zerg Hunter skin immediately made me think of the Tyranid Hunters from 40k, I was going to link some images but it turns out the official models don't actually decorate their armor with alien body parts (I must have seen a fan conversion). | ||

Not sure if you have a lens problem or a 1 note problem, but people get invited to alpha regularly and then beta regularly and people were spamming the forums for the ability to buy into beta. They said, "Okay, buy the stupidest most overpriced thing you have ever heard of and you can come in..." and then suddenly beta quickmatch is all Diablo, Raynor, Tyrande +2 vs Diablo, Raynor, Tyrande + 2 with skins on both sides. If people will pay for that dumb crap the model is going to be good. Especially since everybody I know who has purchased in is loving the game (all be it...that's only 6-7 people) | ||
