Sad part is that it was my favorite map in alpha, but since addition of beta players and "subtle changes" to mm that lead to quite enormous difference in player quality in same game every time it pops on loading screen i know i'm up for hell of a ride. | ||

Least favourite by far: sky temple, this map is just plain dumb, 20mins into the game the lasers WILL kill you no matter what. The triple temple spawn is dumb and gives the game to the team that is stronger or alive at this moment. You 100% have to give up the 2nd spawn (bottom temple) if you are not ahead, something that 99% of the player base hasn't realized yet so they will suicide and give an ever bigger advantage. | ||

Yeah i think so too, most maps feel kinda the same at this point tbh. Which makes the game a lot less fun, at least for me. ATM the game lacks different map ideas the most i think, there is so much potential, i hope blizzard will realise this and deliver. | ||

Something along the lines of Cursed Hallow where you can selectively ignore tributes. Maybe something where the objective buffed your minions or spawned a special rounds or minions to push? It would be a nice change of pace and would make pugging more bearable as there'd be less planning / coordination needed. | ||

I was thinking yesterday that I've never seen a game go beyond the three temple spawn... | ||

Blackheart's in pro play is SUPER lame. At some point there is one big team fight. After that the team that wins spends the rest of the game avoiding the other team, while the losing team runs around in circles trying to put out fire after fire. It's SUPER PvE, with little to no actual PvP after the 1st teamfight. The problem is the pirate never moves, and you have to leave all the safe zones on your side to contest it. When you are down leaving safe zones is super risky. Honestly they need to make the pirate move towards the losing side or something, because once you are behind, it requires an extraordinary fuck up by the enemy team to swing it back. With Sky Temple I agree the triple shrine is dumb. Should never spawn more than 2 imo. As for the player base not realizing how to play the maps, in their defense there is not alot of info out there, most pro teams refuse to share anything with anyone at any point. Even in pro play ppl were yolo'ing in to die before EG figured out to trade top instead. Even now in pro play only a handful of teams actually know how to properly swap on 2nd shrine, and I have even seen Tempo Storm (#1 team world) fuck it up multiple times last weekend. Overall the maps are ok. Blackheart's and Sky Temple are pretty lame, Mines is super snowbally but action packed, but the other three seem to be in good places. Really enjoy Cursed the most, strategy is super deep on that map and there is plenty of chances for a good comeback. Really fun map. | ||
