Go to My Collection, click crafting mode, right click a card you want to craft. If you're not going to buy packs than yes it's worth crafting since you're not going to use dust for anything else. Unless you want to bank up dust and hope Blizzard allows you to convert dust to gold in the future?

You always get the coin when you go 2nd... took me a few games to figure this out lol.
You can't chat
Second person to go gets one additional card.

With that said, I've seen many posts suggesting that you are matched against players with similar win counts or even similar records. This does seem to fit with my own experience as well. The first couple of matches are usually won quite fast, and when I do happen to lose one of my early matches the next 1-2 are usually pretty much walk-overs. I always start losing matches around 4-5 win though, and haven't gotten past 6 wins yet.
Obviously my eight runs aren't great for statistical purposes, but I've seen many other with the same experiences.

It's too bad that since there isn't a chat system implemented, we can't do a test of our own. We'd learn a lot if every time we enter a match we ask "Hey, what's your record so far on this deck?"

I reckon due to the low ''APM' of this game, the BM would be astronomical. I'd be stunned if in-game chat (as in, when you are at the board) is ever implemented

Especially once the game is out of Beta, it has the potential to be terrible.

About the arena matchmaking.
I have tried to queue snipe friends by queing up for arena at the same time as them.
Most of the time even if you que at the exact same time, it will not match you up together right away, and most likely will match you up with 2 different opponents instead of each other.
This leads me to assume there's SOMETHING that blizzard takes into account for arena matchmaking instead of just pure match people up as fast as possible. Whether this something is just a delay then random selection, or delay then random weighted selected based on deck record, or based on something else entirely I do not know. Could just be a mmr rating assigned to you based on deck record, then expanding range of matchable elo until someone matchs it.

Btw, watching Value Town and streams, I really don't get why Sorcerer's Appretice gets this much hate. I don't think that it should be top tier pick or something, but it's way better than a Bloodfen Raptor. Paired up with something like an Arcane Intellect it gets in handy quite often. In general I feel like the effect is quite okay and the SA usually gets treated like a high-priority target.
So what do you think? Does everybody just think SA sucks? ><''

I think it's because of all the 2/3 + text, or 3/2 + text creatures it's one of the most situational. I haven't used it very much, but every time I've used it so far it ended up feeling like a raptor.

You can play infinite arenas per day as long as you have the gold or money to buy them.

Thanks!
I have no idea how to play. Tried out for arena and got spanked. XD Need to work on my deck, soon I will become pro!

Just got a key 2 days ago and got to 3 star masters in 28 wins... My rank cant go down now? How does this system work? Seems really odd.
|
is there a way to get more gold other than just winning?
i used to get more cards with winning but not now? how to get more cards?
|
You get basic cards for each class by leveling them to level 10. Past that just gets you occasional gold versions of the basic cards. You can only get "Expert" cards (ie the rest of them) by buying packs, crafting, or playing arena (where a pack is included as part of your reward).
|
Not sure when else, but definitely at level 15 you get a gold class card.

If you think this game is worth spending money on, and assuming you actually enjoy playing arena but arent good enough to 7+ and consistently go 3-5, is it generally considered better to buy packs or buy arena entries?
Obviously this is weighted by how much you like arena...

Still better to play arena imo. If you complete the daily quests and occasionally do decently in an arena once in a while it's not 1 arena/day worth of gold but its still several entries per week.
