One thing I didn't like in the Might and Magic ccg was that I could not use spells of schools my champions didn't have. Which meant that I couldn't use a lot of the cards I got in the booster packs until I got a champion that could use them.
I don't know how players will acquire new cards in Hearthstone, but the F2P aspect makes me believe it could be luck based. Which could be bad if you don't own a druid hero/class and keep getting them in boosters. everyone has access to every hero class.. so you can use every card you get. you just have to decide if you want to play all classes, or focus only on a few and disenchant the cards of classes you dont want to play. the dust which you get from disenchanting can be used to craft other cards
Oh, good, I didn't know that. The crafting system seems interesting as well, I'll keep an eye on this game then.

I find it amusing that people keep posting about other digital tcgs in this thread, the hex thread, and the scrolls thread, I'm sure it would be worse if the might and magic thread and solforge thread were active. 0.o they all have their own threads for a reason can we keep these threads about their respective games (all of them), you can discuss comparisons but posting links of the the other game and that's all....
Anyways still waiting on beta for this game not much else to say.

Blizzard should just buy WotC and make a real MTGO client
|
I'm pretty sure their intent with Hearthstone is to significanly diverge from MTG:O in terms of complexity / initial difficulty wall. In the same breath, my faith in Blizzard to design a fully functioning UI has been crushed by SC2.

This blonde girl is pretty bad. Not a big fan of her deck but I can see her making a lot of misplays without even knowing more about the game than the cards I see on the screen.

Yeah, that's why I was cringing. Played MTG tourneys for ~2 years, made countless misplays, but it looks like the turn timer is super friendly in HS.
I feel like Warlock will need another balance pass as their tradeoffs aren't powerful enough for their cost.

I don't even know what to say.
She made you "cringe" playing so badly a game you literally know nothing about?

There is a lot of information out there about the game and the cards, so saying he knows nothing about the game was stupid. Also, if you've played card games before, or just know strategy, you can see that she didn't play as well as one could.

i'll never understand why they divide between US and EU on a fucking online game. There are no continents that divide anyone from anything on the internet.

No excuses for region locking in a game where lag means zero. (Turn based, hueheuhue?)
