aside from that looks similar to other wow tcg. well heroes seem to be able to whack each other without weapons or buffs so I guess that's another difference. nevermind they do require buffs but the buff is an innate ability for certain heroes so doesn't require a card in the hand.

Although some cards give can destroy your mana crystals, some can give you temporary (that turn only) mana crystals, and some can permanently increase your mana crystals.

How big is the beta so far? Just curious, definitely wanna get my hands on a key sometime. Loved MTG, but I like the pseudo-FTP model of this. Hopefully it comes out nice. As a MTG player, I'm not sure I like how you can just attack the player with creatures, even if there's creatures on the field. What do you guys think? What I mean is even if you have a 4/4 and they have a 1/1, they can block the 4/4, sacrifice the 1/1 and prevent them from taking 4 damage. Right now it doesn't matter what you have, you eat the damage. Especially since the mana pool goes up automatically each turn, this seems to favor higher mana cost creatures that can deal guaranteed chunks of damage, unless I'm missing something?

I personally like the extra dynamic of it. And that's one thing I was always iffy on in magic the whole sacrifice a lesser.

I haven't played MTG in a while so perhaps this has changed, but I always saw the ability to block as a way of sort of balancing the "weak but many" vs the "powerful but few" desk archetypes. I do see this new system as a way of keeping games short which I can appreciate. Either way I'll probably play it regardless, today was my first time seeing it that's all.

It adds another dimension to the game, and gives a bit of a different feel than mtg. It's not necessarily "better," just different. But there are minions with "taunt" that you have to attack and remove before anything else. You can also put weapons on your "hero" so that when they get attacked they deal damage back to the minions. Also, minions don't heal up at the end of a turn, so you can whittle down bigger minions with smaller ones.

I'm watching Artosis play now, pretty exciting to see him unravel 40 packs haha.

Still will be playing when I have the chance. ![]() from the streams I've been watching, when you go second you get a card called "the coin" that gives you an extra mana crystal for the turn you use it. are the invite waves done for this beta? hope not
