Ben Brode -Hearthstone's designer, has casted most of the available Hearthstone duels and has done the recent 1 hour livestream- has a fucking epic voice. Also immune to bro jokes, since he fucking already has "bro" in his awesome name.
Edit: Check out the stream VOD guys, it's great: http://www.twitch.tv/playhearthstone/b/401307092 Hearthstone looking good
Edit2: Ok actually this VOD was amazing, especially last game. Crazily epic, the devs probably got lucky that they got such a great close game to showcase at the end haha. Or it was scripted, but their excitement sounded genuine, and I want to believe Mr. Awesome Voice :D

Does anyone play the beta yet?

Edit: And for those of you who are interested in picking up a less expensive CCG than Magic Online (albeit more casual :/), Magic Duel of the Planeswalkers 2014 is coming out in a few days. It features several pre-built decks with card unlocks like the previous versions, but also a sealed deck mode for more customized play. A good and fun game for 10$, and they have an Android version now too.

LOL, considering that Zynga is pretty much going bankrupt I'd say it's GG already.

From what I've seen so far, Hearthstone looks much nicer.

I refuse to buy in to a game that also has microtransactions for non-cosmetic items.

scrolls is a big grind to get anything. The game play is very slow and repetitive. I recommend staying away from it.

You can buy anything with in-game gold and you can only use the real money currency in an extremely limited fashion (starter decks or 6 cards which are refreshed once a week).
It's doesn't feel like p2w at all, I would never spend money on the game since I don't care about the avatars.

Scrolls also has card trading, which really diminishes the importance of luck when trying to build a deck. This is a feature that I don't remember seeing in f2p TGC/CCG (scrolls isn't f2p though).
About Hearthstone, I really hope they add 2v2 ladders or something similar. I really enjoy those in MTG and I can't seem to find any other online TCG that allows it.

Hearthstone seems much more fun than Scrolls imo :/
|
Eh, they both have their audiences. I love spending time farming cards and tweaking decks in scrolls as I know it's a completely level playing field. Hearthstone I don't think I'll take quite so seriously and just have fun during iPad downtime. It's the time of game I'd have a blast playing with my nine yr old cousin.

From the VOD on twitch the one mechanic I dislike is the ability for the Hero to bypass any minions on the board and attack the other hero directly. I guess that's their way of making the game go faster and not prolong it like can happen in Magic. It's unfortunate too because the rest of the game seems fine.
EDIT: Ok so there's the taunt mechanic. That's not bad I guess, but still not my favorite mechanic to prevent direct hero damage. Also the lack of ability to mix and match class cards, having to only use cards for that class, kinda sucks. I get there will still be customization but one of the fun things about Magic is making dual color/tri color decks and making them work.

I agree about the whole card mixing thing. One thing I didn't like in the Might and Magic ccg was that I could not use spells of schools my champions didn't have. Which meant that I couldn't use a lot of the cards I got in the booster packs until I got a champion that could use them.
I don't know how players will acquire new cards in Hearthstone, but the F2P aspect makes me believe it could be luck based. Which could be bad if you don't own a druid hero/class and keep getting them in boosters.
