I dont get the point of this weapon, if your prepared to freeze someones organs from the inside until they die in horrible pain you would have no problem shooting them too, why not get a gun, this is sadistic and should not be sold, i doubt many bears or sharks will fall prey to this. I see them falling prey to it, but managing to kill their attacker in the same instance, its a two for one deal.

why not get a gun, this is sadistic and should not be sold, i doubt many bears or sharks will fall prey to this. I think the idea is that it's a last resort if you were in the wild, or the victim of that very rare shark attack. It's not for people hunting specifically hunting sharks and bears necessarily (though if they were, they'd have guns TOO), it's for those rare instances when the shark or bear is inadvertently provoked and you don't have much else choice. There are people who have survived shark attacks after being bitten, by hitting the shark in the eye... That requires a degree of precision. If you had this thing, your chances of survival I imagine would increase quite a bit. However, it's an extremely dangerous weapon and will likely be abused vs people as well, which is sad. you dont need license to own a knife I don't think that's exactly classified as a knife lol. It's purpose is more similar to an ultra heavy duty.. hunting syringe .

This weapon maybe put to good use against terrorists and other warmongers. - Dutchkins, Manchester, 17/7/2008 04:22 Ahahaha.... There's at least one optimist in Manchester. I think the weirdest thing about this knife will be its effects on self defence laws. You're not exactly allowed to shoot a person with a gun because they're coming at you with a knife, it's considered escalating the situation unless you absolutely have reason to believe you'll die if you don't... but with this weapon, how do you know it's a knife, and not a freezer syringe? It's not science fiction anymore, weapons do not look like what they are... The biggest mistake with this knife, possibly, is that it looks too much like a normal knife. Because its really fucking cool. Read the post above yours. It wouldn't be cool if knife crime were a big problem where you lived.

From these, 11 per cent of all wounding, grievous bodily harm (GBH) or robberies were committed with a knife in the Thames Valley. ... Coupled with findings in The Economist, the British Crime Survey reveals how the proliferation of knife crime now means that Britain is the most dangerous country in the Western world for violent attacks (5.7 attacks per 100 people), the Netherlands and USA are joint second with 4.2. http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/s/2032846_rising_knife_crime_due_to_police_red_tape_says_mp This is basically the American equivalent of if, say, Malaysia were to start producing squirt-guns that fired hydrochloric acid and sold for for 20usd, complete with recharges, online. They'd look like your standard Nerf guns. I myself find this a rather disturbing invention, and with the lack of any sort of restriction on it, actually kind of scary. I mean in the UK it's friggin outlawed to sell knives to people under 18, as it is, but obviously that's not gonna stop dedicated people from getting some.

Seriously? Is that seriously what the law says? Because if you have a gun, and the other guy is attacking you with a knife, and you're not going to use your gun, then you are almost definitely* going to die. (* unless you are Kennigit)

I think regulating the wasp knife will be similar to regulating guns. As for regulating knives in general... I can see how they could regulate knives that are intended to be used as weapons, but I'm sure every household has multiple very sharp knives in the kitchen for cooking. There's no way they can regulate those. Not to mention that if they only started trying to regulate knives recently, then it'll take a while for those regulations to have an effect.
