So recently I started to love classical music, but I just know a few pieces I like.

2 examples of classical music I like

I know its not really original and thats why I started this topic. I cant seem to find good classical music on my own. So if anyone knows a good piece or could give me some recommendations, I would be glad.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Requiem Mass in D Minor (1792)
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi - The Four Seasons (Le Quattro Stagioni, 1723)
Johan Sebastian Bach - Toccata & Fugue in D Minor (1703-1707) BWV 565
Jean Sibelius - Finlandia, Op. 26 (1900)
Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt (1867)

The last song isn't classical, it's a modern classical movie soundtrack by John Williams, he has many masterful movie soundtracks such as the following:
Star Wars (1977)
Schindler's List (1993)
Jurassic Park (1993)
Hook (1991)
Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)

Those are my personal favorites of this genre, try listening to them and hope you like them!

1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky

Most stuff by Sibelius

More contemporary Classical, try Bond: Hot girls + music = win

Or you can just download one of the Best of Classical suites or something and try those.

I'm more a fan of the darker aspects, excluding my last song which is somewhat upbeat.

Rachmaninoff Prelude Op. 23 No. 5

Rachmaninov piano concerto n.2, I. Moderato (part1)

Sibelius: Valse Triste -Really picks up towards the end.

Mozart: Rondo -Can't get enough of 2:30 - 2:54.

If you liked any of the songs, excluding the last, you might want to look into some early and mid-century Russian orchestra and piano pieces.

Oh man, no offense, but as soon as I saw the vids in the OP, I was like ... "Please don't let this be Pachelbel's Cannon..."

The top Baroque stuff:

Bach's Double Violin Concerto
Dont drink and derive. TSL: Made with Balls.

My school played this really cool orchestral work called
Hary Janos Suite by Zoltan Kodaly and it features this really cool sounding instrument called the Cimbalom, listen!

And everyone likes Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue

And Chopin is awesome esp when Yundi Li plays it:

Beethoven Sonata, one of my favorites (No. 8)

Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture

Schubert- Impromptu

Chopin- "Heroic" Polonaise

Rubenstein appeals to me. He was one of the best pianists.

Vivaldi: The Four Seasons is really great.

And Moonlight Sonata from beethoven is the best classical song I've heard.

Umm, that's Lux Aeterna from Clint Mansell. People call it Requiem for a Dream because it was the theme for the movie with the same name, but i think you should show some respect to the writer at least.

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement "Presto Agitato"

Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata 3rd Movement "Rondo Allegro"

Here's something a little more modern

Check out Alan Hovhaness... relatively unknown, relatively modern composer. His music is pretty unique in that it's pretty laid-back and mesmerizing.
There's almost nothing of value on Youtube unfortunately, except maybe these:

This is probably his most popular piece:

And this is a nice piano piece (2 parts):

Anything by Percy Aldridge Grainger, but then again, if you're looking for darker things, selected works of James Barnes and (most) of Shostakovitz should be right down your aisle.

Transcendental Etude

L'Isle Joyeuse

Rondo Capriccioso

Can't find any good YouTube interpretations of Pathetique second but it's pretty amazing.
During practice session, I discovered very good build against zerg. -Bisu[Shield]
