EDIT: and here we have Joe Manchin confirming that even if we get the two GA runoff election wins, he will commit to fucking the Democrats over! Boy if I had any faith in squirming politicians holding to their word I might be angrier. https://twitter.com/SocialistMMA/status/1325986513725890560?s=20

Trump is still the president until then. We're in the lame duck session now, and a LOT of shady shit can still happen especially with McConnell still at the helm in the Senate.

Court packing was dead as soon as the Dems didn't sweep with 55 Senate seats. It'll happen if the SC starts doing some very controversial rulings, but we'll have to wait and see.

Not that the Democrats would ever do anything like that anyway. They only believe in incremental improvements to the Supreme Court.

We thought 2020 was going to end with something fitting and it looks like its Happening. Esper gone and who knows who else will get fired or pardoned in the last month and a half.

All I see is the DNC doubling down on "shift to the right! shift to the right!" hes already way far to the right so where are we going to end up? Manchin is by far the most conservative Democrat in the senate. He's from West Virginia. We knew he wouldn't support any strong democratic policies.

They are demanding the republican secretary of state for GA resign because he wasn't "transparent" enough. Everyone is pointing out this is nonsense : 1. GA has had by far the most transparent voting process of all swing states. 2. GA's vote margin really doesn't matter anymore The Secretary of State's response tells them to screw off, basically. They need to keep the trump voter engaged. Dems over preformed in 2018 even there races that they ended up losing. With trump on the ballot i think almost all dems at the bottom of the ticket where running behind. Warnock i think would of won outright had it not been a jungle primary with like 20 people and osslaf is only a point or 2 behind. It is going to be just like when obama won but even worse.

Manchin will vote for Chuck Schumer as senate majority leader. I feel like it's hard to overstate how valuable that is.

He needs to ride the Trump bullshit to keep his influence.

Anyone with a ounce of sense know trump lost, whats he get out of it. The Republican Party has everything to lose if they alienate Trump. He single handily created 15 million voters that will vote republican only if trump is in there friend zone. Pissing off trump means these voters just go away, and most likely never coming back. Without trump, they go from being favourites in the majority of senate seats and getting back house, to losing everything

Seems like it will make the party crash that much harder when you have the majority leader parroting the bogus claims when they find absolutely nothing.
