Really? It's amazing no one has coached him on these sorts of things. He seems to constantly be doing things that women tell me annoy the hell out of them when men do it. He has 100% been coached. But that all goes out the window when you lose your cool. And from the sound of it he has totally lost his composure
This break was definitely to give Kavanaugh time to cool off. If your guy needs a moment to cool off, he should not be on the supreme court. Kavanaugh is not special. There are plenty of others.

I don't see the republicans not voting that guy in. They have made their choice and they will not stray from it. The few votes they could lose are well worth it for them, they might even calculate losing congress seats just to get him through. Which i don't understand, this is not the only judge that would fit their agenda, right?

Really? What was that female senator's name? I missed it. Sen. Amy Klobuchar I think

But that all goes out the window when you lose your cool. And from the sound of it he has totally lost his composure Exactly. He is revealing himself to be the vengeful political hack we suspected him of being. If they confirm him now, it will haunt every member of the GOP for more than a decade. For many women in the country, it would be a declaration of war on them.
But it'll get them Roe v Wade overturned which is the only thing Republicans have cared about for 50 years. That's a win a slam dunk, it's the crown jewel. Making Republicans pay for any of this requires Dems to not be incompetent and figure out Politics is a game of all out war and start playing the game as such. Something they've never shown any indication they understand.

He's touted all the women he's had work under him. Has he ever worked under a woman? Really feels like he gets more upset when women ask him questions

Acosta reporting that Trump loved Kavanaughs performance. Sigh. This is going to a vote. I imagine Roberts is the most miserable man in America right now.

Someone in this thread mentioned that Trump is trying to force Kavanaugh through because he sees the allegations as a mirror of his own, plus I think Trump said something to the same effect yesterday

Something they've never shown any indication they understand. Confirming him will assure a new brand of very angry democrats rises and is elected into office through 2020 at least. And that will be before they start chipping away at Roe, which will only fire them up more and make things like stacking the court look pretty reasonable.

I still can't believe how people are defending him after these bursts. I just heard a caller in TX say the live stream was a mad house, but why should we care about what we did 30 years ago.... It's just a sad state. Obviously Bill Cosby needs to go to jail cause of his crimes 30 years ago, cause he's black. But the Trump supporting white guy should go to the Supreme Court cause it was 30 years ago.

The entire country watched that shit show and anyone who was undecided had their mind made up today. And likely they are thinking "I need to vote my senator out of office, because holy shit, what was that?"

What happened to the woman who was taking the Republican turns earlier? At least she was asking questions about the events, now every 5 minutes is just going to bashing the Democrats
|
So his witnesses are all credible and those that speak against him are all lying I don't get it. Had he just said from the start, he was drinking often and he got drunk, but he did not try to rape or assault anyone. Instead, he is trying to come off as a saint and this does simply not work.

Republicans realized it's better for them to replace her with Lindsey Graham and other emotional nutjobs.

Anything less then victory is considered a failure and americans hate a loser. They consider losers to be lesser in a fundamental way.
See the first rocky movies. In both cases the main character lost the fight but it didn't matter to the narrative because rocky won by going the distance and winning his own way.
If he gets nominated even after all this the gop will take a huge hit but it's image will still be of a party that win this fight and the dems lost. At the end of the day this is whats important in us politics.

They're getting repetitive. Fuck it, lt's just move on to the vote today so we have these hacks on record.
|
There is zero chance that America views this as a win for the Republicans if they confirm him. They had their pick and they proceeded with picking him despite all the facts and all the legitimate questions because political wins are more important? Some winners they are, sounds like the game they play demands a lot of skill.

I'd like to point out that the Republicans have apologized to Kavanaugh more times than Ford at this point. If I didn't know better I'd think that he was the victim and her the accused.

Idk , I feel like electing trump would be a declaration of war on women but ya know. People are partisan, including women. It’s not like my grandma is going to suddenly switch to liberal after watching that. She only cares what her neighbors think(which is why she was democrat while in California and republican before and after)
