They claim it's a Dem conspiracy which should be ignored and Ford is credible and should be listened to at the same. And before you ask, no it doesn't make sense.

How can they talk about a conspiracy with out talking about ford? By only talking about Feinstein leaking, and democrats not taking part in the investigations, and asking an FBI investigation only at the last minute while they knew before. They are discussing the allegations by Dr. Ford, not even mentioning them. Even Cruz, after a good introduction, is mostly talking about the process, the letter, the leaks, the agenda, but not the content or Kavanaugh alleged behaviour.

This is circulating Facebook right now. These faces are so perfect that I'm actually wondering if this is photoshopped. Can we fact-check this picture?

To be fair, he deserves an apology from them for being turned into their political clown show thanks to the imperative that he be confirmed prior to the midterm elections.
This could all have been done quietly and unceremoniously but for the fact that the Republicans wanted to force his appointment through now.

That HAS to be photoshopped, if it isn't that has to be the most perfect picture ever taken by man. It's too good to be true! The old man on the left staring up into the heavens, contemplating his existence brings it all together IMO.

They even have Zina Bash resting her hand in an actual normal position

Sigh. Flake is such a wishy washy coward. I think he will vote for Kavanaugh. This is going to come down to Collins and Murkowski.
|
Well, the fool at the top has weighed on. Votes on and Kavanaugh will be on SCOTUS, hell or high water.
|
All comes down to Collins and Murkowski. If they watched Ford's testimony, they know it really happened. From there, it is just a matter of it they care or not.
|
They are going to confirm him. They are that high on their own bullshit.
|
Probably, but it's going to be another black mark against them if they do. Gotta believe it'll be the end of any blue state Republicans though. There must be one or two right?
|
For the record, we know for a fact that Brett Kavanaugh perjured himself at least once during this hearing: After defining and explaining a few other immature terms that were written by him/ his friends (in the yearbook? on his calendar? I forget), he was asked to explain what a Devil's Triangle is. He said it was a drinking game, and considering it's actually a M+M+F threesome, the only two options are: 1. He's lying, or 2. What the fuuuuuck is he drinking?
|
well apparently he only drinks beer. he loves beer. do you love beer?

It's going to be a black mark on the court. Imagine how fucked up its going to be when as a Justice he cant even visit law schools without being protested against, give speeches or go to a public dinner in peace. Or all the protesters who are going to interrupt him during oral arguments. It's going to be a constant mess.
An interesting argument raised on Fox was that it's actually better for the Dems politically if he is confirmed and better for the Republicans if he isnt. Whoever loses will have righteous indignation on their side, which will motivate voters.

Just watched his opening statement, it's like Stephen Miller or Bannon wrote part of it. 'Anger about Trump and the 2016 election' 'Revenge for the Clintons' It could be straight out of the Trump twitter dictionary. Why does he include such things? Why take the trumpist look instead of the inpartial judge look?
Also, the picture posted is probably not photoshopped, you can see the people sitting at the start here. But the two women on the left just have a unfortunate resting facial expression as they also look this way when he hasn't entered yet. So I wouldn't make much of it.

We actually have no idea whether it happened. Her testimony didn't reveal any new facts other than that Mark Judge worked at a particular grocery store. Just because she seemed credible doesn't make it true. The burden of proof hasn't been met.

Basically all the opinions expressed on this are a matter of political bias. The truth is that we don't know one way or another, which means we should presume innocence as a matter of having a good system for resolving these kinds of questions.

Exactly, I stand with inocent until proven guilty and not a single piece of evidence has been presented.
So when are they voting?
