I just find it very strange that society allows for that kind of behaviour, that politicians are allowed to adjust their main form of income, being voted into office, by laying the rules for it themselves and the voters mostly agree with them because it's their side that is pinking the rules. In germany, the parties presented new laws how to reduce the size of our parliament, as the complex electoral process was creating more and more seats with more parties being elected. Surprisingly, the ruling CDU proposed a system that would only benefit them. It's weird to me how they can be that shameless and sometimes even get away with it.

Technically true. However, when a major problem occurs in nationwide elections because of any amount of bad voting systems, that throws the entire result into question. Any Democratic system can only be effective when the people voting into it have implicit trust in it, and that's hard if it feels like certain regions of the US have little, or very skewed, electoral representation. We are one nation, and states like Georgia, Alabama, Florida, etc. are very much weak links that need to be addressed. We accept so much handwaving when it comes to reasons why it's ok that voting is difficult, when it should be an unquestionable human right in this country. Voting should never be a challenge or, for some, a technical impossibility.

Have the dropping polls finally gotten through to him and could this herald a change in strategy going forward?

How are there people following that guy religiously? :D I guess one should applaud Trump for moving slightly into the direction of not being the worst possible president during a pandemic? But it is indeed quite comical. "The invisible China virus" "No one is more patriotic then me" "Your favorite president" Also, of course, random capitalization. I assume UICV PPP doesn't mean anything?

How many people had to die for Obama's tan suit to be an outrage? Oh yeah, 0.

Someone who has done so much to actively strip women of their bodily autonomy and workers of their rights/protections should probably be indefinitely banned from such an event, not given the mic imo. Kasich represents the "sane" Republicans. Certainly some major disagreements with guys like him, but bringing them over to the democrat side for this election can potentially swing the election without giving them anything except not being Trump. If you tell them to fuck off, some may go back to Trump because you're not willing to even give them the most basic amount of inclusion. Basically, not lose a thing by adding Kasich and potentially gain states like Ohio.

I just see it as more evidence of Democrats continuing a several decades long move rightward to appeal to the ever so elusive 'sane Republicans' who just keep accepting the concessions for nothing in return. Patriot act, tax cuts, space force, concentration camp funding, on and on and on.
