Yes. Alcohol is poison and weed is the cure. Legalize.
Seriously though, the fact that it isn't legal...stupid.

and what documentary would that be?

Yes it should (alcohol being legal weed should, plus the government has no business controlling what I use inside my body), but the post isn't quite thread material ^.> Maybe write a short essay going over the pros and cons, add some videos, some references in science research, etc.
|
whoops ._. and the thread itself isnt the part of the education! the video is extremly informative and is 1 hour and 40 minutes in length.

Yes and government should tax it for $, alcohol is wayyyyyy worse and obviously causes way more death. Theres been no cases of people dieing from marijuana, but i am sure people have gotten lung/mouth/throat/gum cancer.

Well recently they proved that smoking weed under the age of 18 frequently dropped kids IQ later in life by 8 points. Was a huge study... But honestly, I smoke lots of weed on and off and it has it's benefits and deficits. I think it takes someone with proper mental health to be able to manage themselves/pace themselves and not blaze all day everyday and smoke your life away. Love to see were this discussion goes.
|
Well what exactly are the benefits of legalizing weeds ? Is our society really missing out on something like this? Do you really feel like if we legalize weed just because ''it's fun'' it would help our human race? People are already pretty stupid and lazy. Legalize that shit and instead of doing something more productive they would just ''relax''.
I really don't care about the subject since people are free to do what they want, but legalizing it would be just senseless imho.
edit: TL isn't the proper place to discuss this imo, since many people are biased :D

Weed have a stronger effect than Alcohol + Tobbaco but it doesn't have that much of toll on your body. But however speaking, because of its result of intake, most people can't possibly take it psychologically. So it should stay at the status quo, to be prescribed.
You don't want to have kids wasting their lives away.

Tbh I think people are too fucking stupid to handle drugs of pretty much any kind. Unfortunately once it becomes legal making something illegal doesn't do any good (ex: prohibition), and sure plenty of people can smoke it illegally but they at least have to go through some effort.
But I'm in the minority and all the arguments favor legal weed (tax money, government shouldn't control what people do, etc) but I still think the majority is too stupid to handle weed. Hell they can't even handle alcohol.

Nice one!
So, should governments take it upon themselves to prohibit any activity that might detract from people's productivity? If so, I think reality tv is much higher on your list than weed.
|
What about the drugs that cause people to eat other people's faces and such?
|
Personally I find people who smoke frequently (i.e many times a day) to be generally losers since they just want to get high and nothing else, but that is only because of the type of person not the actual drug. I myself am a top level swimmer and ive talked to many other swimmers who do it fairly frequently. I myself do it from time to time simply to enhance an evening, but never planned purely for the joy of it

Absolutely not. There's no reason behind this. And it is dangerous. Weed is and will always be a gateway drug. My friend recently died from drug use.. and where did it start? One day in highschool smoking weed.
Legalizing it would mean "controlling" it. And if anyone thinks this would get rid of illegal sales of weed, you're very mistaken. There will always be underground illegal operations. It would be the biggest mistake ever to legalize it.

Of course no one wants children to have access to drugs like these, same as with alchohol, but with more control from the government these kinds of drugs would be much harder to get for children than they are now. All a dealer wants is the money and he wont care if the person buying is 4, but it would be alot harder to convince someone to buy for you at a convience store

Alcohol is harder to get in high school than weed is.
