The issue is that there is no evil. There is only ignorance and all of that which conforms to evil is truly ignorance, either on perceived or perceivers end, or both.

Now this guy seems pretty fucking evil but he actually almost doesn`t kill anyone, more over, he actually exposes the blatant hipocrisy and idiocy of the soul society and the tremendous sickness of its system of justice - and as ridicilous as it sounds, he more or less ends up eradicating espada which were the biggest threat to soul society and humans; and he has some overarching motive behind his actions related to the spirit king so he isn`t doing all the shit for some silly or idiotic reason, though of course, his methods are sick.
