Think about this, the final season of Friends all SIX actors got paid ONE MILLION dollars per episode. Additionally take into account their episodes were 30 minute time slots and not an hour. and this was back in 2004 to really blow your mind on what actors make "these days"
Bonus points for connection: Hugh Laurie appeared in an episode of friends on an airplane going to London.

Really awesome episode tonight. I love it when they have these kind of "event" shows. Like the first couple episodes of last season when he was going through rehab.

Really enjoyed the episode as well. With basically every character as their disposal they can create some epic drama and shit.

But I'm really pumped to see if the murder comes back for next ep and kills Masters. Would be a really awesome way to get rid of her and will add another dimension to house for the next season.

a lot TV series nowadays have breaks roughly halfway through every season, I know House, Dexter, South Park etc do it.

I dont like the new thirteen, its like they made a whole new character out of her, adding mysteries and what not. I think thats kind of lame and to deus ex machina for the house writers....

Thirteen's life was always shrouded in mystery. I don't really think they added too much more, to be honest.
That being said, it's always good to have some sort of character evolution. After all, she's been gone for a very long time... they had to have some sort of justification for it. And considering the circumstances of her leave were directly related to her disease and knowledge as a doctor, they didn't really create a whole new backstory or anything.
