Last Stand can actually be done with much money to spare if you use splash damage and garlic wisely. Actually if you use an efficient setup with gloom shroom and garlic (magnets help too), you can fill the back columns with marigolds and farm mad moneys. | ||

Unfortunately you can't alt-tab and let it go in the background, so you actually do need to afk. If you really want to gather cash in game, I would say something like unlimited survival with one or two gold magnets. The number of zombies approaching gets so huge at some point, that there's constantly gold lying around. | ||
