+ Show Spoiler + Step 1: Download a Hex editor. I use HxD. Step 2: Open User1.dat in your Plants vs Zombies -> UserData folder. Step 3: Change the 25th - 32nd digit on the first line to " FF FF 00 00 ". Step 4: Save and open your game. Step 5: Profit (literally) ![]()

Time it takes mines to set up is approximately 4 walking squares distance, easily enough warning time. Mine recharges fast enough so that your sunflowers won't get attacked until multiple zombies appear at same time. imo, best build is to abuse sunshroom/puff shroom/sea shroom, replace puff shroom with 3 rows of fume-shroom. puff shroom is free and although it's range is limited, it's fast enough to kill one zombie. before 1st zombie dies, u can place 4 puff shrooms. the lane with the 1st zombie can have 2 puff shrooms hit the zombie without getting hit yah, GameFAQs people tested that the tenth Sun-shroom can be planted at around 1:30 versus 2:20 for the tenth Sunflower. I never addressed this post, About the potato mine thing. The cooldown is pretty long (5 squares of a zombie walking), you can use it twice maybe 3 times before you gotta start making some de. Also it takes 2.5/3 squares of zombie advanced placement. You can't clutch it. With a squash, the cooldown is shorter, you can use it last second (even when the guy passes the square it has a little backwards range), and it is still useful later on for clutch moments if you need it. (diggers sneaking in, or a huge pile of zombies that just needs to be flattened ^_- ) In combination you can power really hard, and this is what I have been doing. But with limited slots and a choice i'd always pick the squash. It's just better all around. About the SS vs SF thing, I think maybe a build with starting out with strictly SS and building SF when money allows (also gives two cooldowns for econ building if you don't have the imitator yet). A combo build would be best, but obviously it takes more precious slots. And if you are using that many plants you'll definitely need DSF (actually its called TSF, but whatever) to save space later. PS- Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the game running in window mode when you are doing other shit online? Would be cool for farming gold and zen gardening.

2. Some people should not take it too seriously (yes CharlieMurphy, I mean you and the person you quoted in a post above mine). 3. Still can't beat the best PopCap has to offer + Show Spoiler [I put it into spoiler to save some lives] +

That being said, Here is hardcore gold farming guide to the max. Serious enough for you? + Show Spoiler + This build utilizes the most space and the most minimalist of defense/offense. It also reduce the amount of micro on collecting coins and rebuilding garlics, pumpkins, etc. It will probably make it a bit easier to setup if you choose the seeds in this order: Marigold, Lilypad, Gold magnet, Magnet, Coffee Bean, Tallnut, Fume Shroom, Gloom Shroom, Pumpkin, Garlic (which I didn't actually do lawl). If you only have 9 slots You can skip the Tall Nuts and just use pumpkins. If you only have 8, I dunno, you lose with this builld. r1 ![]() simple enough screen here. Money Start= 19,850 r2 ![]() lost a lily @ c5-r3, had to rebuild that and then I placed a pumpkin and a marigold below it. Saved the 50 sun here because most likely the ducky zombie will pop up and rape that lily again. And I can bank it in case a garlic dies. Money Gained=1580 r3 ![]() yup he came back and ate the lily again, replaced it, pump'd it, gold'd it. Bank 100 because those garlic are in tears. Money Gained=1430 what an unlucky gold coin round >.< r4 ![]() replaced the garlics during the level (obviously) but in doing so I accidentally placed one in the wrong spot and had to shovel and place it properly so I lost 50 sun and pump took a beating (@ c8-r2) T_T. Added a lily and marigold on c1-r3. If I didn't screw up I could place another marigold below in c1-r4 but i need to bank the 125 in case vaulter gets at the weak pump or if the garlics die. Money Gained=1550 r5 ![]() You can't tell here but the top magnet pump got smashed by a football team. I had to replace it. And I had to replace a garlic as well. Finally got down the marigold and lily in c1-r4. Money Gained=1640 Final ![]() had to replace garlics. Money Gained =1960 Total Money Gained at End= 8160 Pro Tip #1: The gold magnets don't do their job 100% and sometimes miss a few coins. So what I do to minimize effort is just collect the coins that appear around the edges, the gold coins, and the zombie dropped coins if applicable. Time i spent writing this out I probably lost 10-15k gold!

I stopped playing mainly due to my eyes hurting, but I'm early in the game. I'm 2-2. Several people mentioned that the campaign is easy, so far is has been. Although, those jumper zombies sometimes give me a scare when I'm playing safe until I get some heavy shit. Does the campaign get any harder, and are the mini games challenging?

The hardest levels imo are the bonus levels with the bowling or whatever, even the last level is pretty easy. You're playing for the experince anyways. The end game is the fun part mostly. (like WoW or GTA i guess). PS- when you beat the adventure mode once, you can replay it where crazy dave picks 3 random seeds for you and you gotta work with less slots (if he picks crap). Think of it like nightmare on D2. But it's still pretty easy, if you got 10 slots. I'm playing it now.
