It's basically just practice and "getting the hang of it" out of my experience. As others said already, try to make small circles, spin the direction you feel the more comfortable with (like, I personally can only spin anti-clockwise, clockwise is like half the speed for me :D) and I guess don't think too much into it. I feel, spinner speed is the least important skill to have in osu, but that's just my experience ^^ And maybe it's a placebo effect, but I feel that I'm a tad bit faster, if I'm starting off with a huge circle and make it into a small spin ... dunno, since I saw doomsday do it, I do it too, just out of habit ...

It took me ages (1000's of plays) to move my spin average from like 200 to 230-240 while not missing the following notes -_-. Try becoming conscious of what hand motion/muscles you are using, and how you are gripping the mouse. If you suddenly have a breakthrough day, you're going to want to remember these details because eventually you'll need to remember how. Also, you can try a round of two of spinning very relaxedly, slowly, small circles, trying never to cross the center dot (which will kill your spin), before going to your normal spin. Don't know if this helps, but you can try watching replays or vods of other people spinning, just to get an idea of what different techniques look like. While some people are used to ar 8, and think that ar 9 is very fast, some people are used to ar10+ so much that they claim that ar9 is unplayable or hard to play, because of the low ar. There also are songs that are hard partly (or mostly) because of the ar.* I personally think problems with ar boil down to 2 things: either handling more circles then you're used to when playing lower ar or, when playing higher ar, having less time then you're used to to react to coming patterns. Both just need practice. I get the idea that most people neglect low ar, like most people dont practice slow streams: it's boring and frustrating at times. *These come to mind: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/21342 Not very hard, but ar 9 would be easier imo https://osu.ppy.sh/s/16349 I only play the lesjuh diff, but that one needs some ridiculous control to get high combo, because of 220 bpm combined with ar 8. Also, before i played anything ar10 i was relatively better at the song then now.. https://osu.ppy.sh/s/10406 This would be hard even without low ar, but you have to hold back your aim/rythm greatly at times. Yup, quite agree with that. The problem of hitting notes too early or late shouldn't be an issue because after a few notes you should be timing via the rhythm and only using the circles to indicate what type of note. The people who are used to AR10, I believe, have played too much of just one AR, and have forgotten how to switch.

I've seen plenty of people who seem to be able to play well in a range of speeds, but I've only ever been able to be anywhere near decent at one speed, which tends to increase over time until I hit a point where it levels out. I've never liked low AR, not because of the sow approach circles (I don't pay any attention to those in the first place) but because too much on the screen causes me to be unable to read, and the level of "too much" gets lower and lower as I get faster at reacting. I've been playing music games for a decade and have NEVER been able to adjust downward despite trying quite a few times. I HAVE adjusted to a slower scroll rate in mania, but that's entirely offset by the fact that I play with FL, so I still have very little time to react. Hm, strange. I have had trouble with low ar for a while, but now i'm practicing ar 7 with high od to work on my timing. Ever since i dont really have any trouble with low ar. Especially tag4 maps seem to have gotten way easier. (they're still quite hard of course) Ido notice that playing fast maps with low ar (around 230 bpm with ar 7) strains my right hand more then normal ar fast maps. So maybe it is an aim issue. And of course, easy mod is the most retarded mod, except fl. I don't think there is a one way ticket to an easier map using only od, ar, cs and hd regardless of type of map. A mod reducing speed by 10 % would probably come closer then current easy mod.

I'm really satisfied with this. I switched effective DPI's from 1666 to 833, which is the same speed I use for every else. Before switching, I could never have imagined hitting the majority of the streams. Doing jumps post-switch wasn't as bad as I thought, but maybe that's because I practiced a lot of half time Story of my Wife and Airman before and after. Took about 2 days to catch up to the same speed barriers I was at before, and the aim improvement was immediate. You have have to be so much more off to miss.

If you don't want to be really loud, I wouldn't recommend blues. If you really want to try them out before buying. http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/wasd-sampler-kit.html I have a das keyboard: ![]() A keyboard with blank keys is pretty!

Tried doing more research and reds seem like the most natural change, they are basicly a lighter black switch, but I have just never tried the tactile thingy which brown and blue have, so hoping on some input on what people think of the tactile.. thingy, incase I should get a switch with that. Also if any of the three switches (blue, red, brown) would be poor choices for other games would be appreciated to know.

You can work up to standard speed, then double time! :D (relax mod maybe) What's your screen resolution? 833dpi on 1280x1024 for example is ~1.5 inches to cross screen, while on 2560x1440 it is ~3.07 A keyboard with blank keys is pretty! http://i.imgur.com/WsRpgFx.jpg dust so much dust between keys, why am i so lazy On January 04 2014 16:57 NTTemplar wrote: Have been looking at the CM Storm Quickfire models, also the stealth version of them which I liked a lot. Red or Brown IMO for most stuff, sc2/osu; i've not tried red/black but from what i know blacks can be overly heavy sometimes, and i don't like the way blue actuates ![]() ^Brown ![]() ^Black/red (red is lower force but looks pretty much the same) ![]() ^Blue - there's a large gap between the operating point and reset point which i just don't like at all. Didn't really find stealth brown there from a "top seller" and a newbie ebayer like me wants that topseller mark, so that made the choice easy... as europe don't sell stealth due to stupid patent stuff and I can only get Ebay sellers to ship to where I am in norway <.< (slight frustration venting done! :D) Thanks Cyro and Xafnia ![]()

Across is about 1.8cm. With the numbers you gave that means I'm using ~1400 dpi. so much dust between keys, why am i so lazy Wait until you take them out! Yuck! I took out the keys of my (cheap, old) keyboard to clean them, but I plugged it into soon and it wouldn't reason, so I had to grab a spare one. I hope it still works. charts Thanks for the info, never had such a objective way of thinking about keys before. Fascinaaating. Decisions. Or not. Probably going to try to objectively judge for 3 songs, and then screw that and free vote the rest.

This made me realise how picky i am regarding maps. I had trouble finding 10 maps i really liked. It didn't help i remember most maps by mapper (of some difficulty), not by song title >.> In the end i went with these: capitaro - Yoiduki Maiuta [Amamiya Yuko] Cres - End Time [Fear] DECO*27 feat. marina - Aimai Elegy [val0108] himmeltengoku - Saika (Another Style Remix) [LKs] Jin - Yobanashi Deceive [tutuhaha] Last Note. - Renai Yuusha [Amamiya Yuko] M2U - Gypsy Tronic [LKs] Saitou Chiwa - Futakotome [Frostmourne] scop - Keppekishou [tutuhaha] supercell - Hero [Colin Hou]

DPI is always the same, if you have 833dpi on 1024 width screen then it's ~1.23 inches to cross screen I'll try those maps! DECO*27 feat. marina - Aimai Elegy val0108 - almost passed second try, died right at end :D tried a few, really fun and good for practice so far!

To make things even better, I don't remember almost anything about it, other then the name has two words (most likely) and the background was a girl with a wolf on grass, top down point of view, anime style as always. Now I know this is a long shot at best, but it would really make my day if someone could dig this up, I tried searching for it on the osu! site, but the sheer number of maps is too much to go through, maybe the vague description will ring a bell for someone. Or not. Thanks anyhow!
