been on a WA2000 spree (kinda good weapon, takes a while to get ajusted from playing Barrett SP though) and one game on Wasteland I picked one up (silenced) all I can say is get stopping power if you plan on picking it up, was running Cold Blooded Pro and @ close-medium range it took 6-7 bullets to kill don't ever get stopping power with a sniper, do not ever get a silencer on a sniper. Get FMJ and Cold blood, and learn to hit heads end of story.

the WA2000 part was just to say I switched from Barrett to it
tl;dr: post was supposed to be:

all I can say is get stopping power if you plan on using AK47, was running Cold Blooded Pro (since WA2000 doesn't benefit from SP) and @ close-medium range it took 6-7 bullets to kill
extra notes: the recoil is non-existent, unless you spray for 4+ sec then it might start swaying a bit.
edit: also, it seems like my long range (well like across the map or almost) shots with WA2000 never register as a HS (even when I'm hardscoping an idle player, tried in a private match). Tried shooting pretty much everywhere in and around the head and I didn't get a single one.

The new 1.07 patch just nerfed the 1887's.
They have much shorter range now.

Oh, so you just assume I started out with 1887 at level 1. Good job.
I played through 5 different weapons before switching to 1887s, and even then I was lugging a M21 as a backup for longer distances. Things like these make me go meh.

No, I'm just assuming you suck too much to be good with any other guns... which you pretty much said yourself in your original post.. why else would you stop playing just becuase they removed the most imba gun in the game??
Besidses the fact that you are only willing to play with a gun that gives you a ridiculously unfair advantage over other players proves what a tool & douchebag you are... I think your probably the only person on earth who wants to stop playing because they nerfed the 1887.. like it's a bad thing they are making the game more balanced.. you obviously prefer an unbalanced game since you lack skill..

Most people that play are bad anyway, the thing is that with shotguns, provided you are in range, you will have the initiative over AR/SMG/whatever users and that alone will get you more kills than any actual skill, provided you know what aiming means.

well honestly I fucking hope I have initiative, I'm horribly limited by range and have a cooldown between each shot.

I never got to use the 1887, because I'm only level 39 (got started late compared to most and don't play as much as you guys might) and most of the people I ran into were using akimbo rangers. So I can't really comment on them, but if it was like the rangers, but better.. it probably could have been annoying. I can imagine something like akimbo rangers but with more range as annoying. I like shotguns in general in the game, even the basic pump shotty is pretty powerful with sleight of hand. I don't use shotguns anymore though, I figure it is a good idea to be a team player and run around with a rocket launcher to take down choppers/planes. I played a few too many games where no one had one and people kept running outside to suicide to harriers and what not. So I'm running around with a stinger and using my SCAR to do everything else.

yeah, akimbo 1887 is worse than akimbo ranger tbh, with ranger at least you're limited to 2 rounds/gun and have to reload often whereas 1887 has like 5 rounds and with range/perks it's possible to one shot kill using only 1 of them which, if you use in the right situation, could let you chain kill people with barely any downtime

on normal, maybe, but on HC TDM, sniper is perfectly fine. I just use it for certain maps. It's pretty much a one shot each time and I really don't need more than that with the barrett (I dislike the WA2000, but I don't have any upgrades for it yet, so that may be why) If I have trouble with sniping, usually just running into players while not ready or having someone sneak up on me. There's like four or five maps where I'm completely comfortable running with sniper only the whole game no problem.
