So this reminded me of why we had the tax, for reimbursement. This brought up stories of great losses that the corp had to pay for, mostly by kwark. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=8409677 Not much else to say here. best player in eve, confirm

I follow them to the next system, and camp them in. They play station games again, mocking me that they are winning the isk war since I am using ammo on them. At this point, Aeth is leading a frigate roam to syndicate through the system we were in. He warps to station to shoot up the tengu, and I manage to bump one drake off station, which we then kill. I believe destiny has given advice that BM should always come second to gameplay. I leave system with michael, and eventually they work up the bravery to return to their site (without the tengu though). I miss the first and second cycle on my probes, and they warp out, telling me I will never catch them. They try this a few more times, and I 100% them. I warp into the site with my tengu, miss pointing the naga, but point and kill another drake. Then I take their escalation. The drake I killed left the saddest wreck behind, all crap mission loot. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12631873 http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12632418

Too fucking funny not to post. Above quote was sarcastic, I cbf to recount the story yet again, basically everyone else in the fleet was total shit, failed to report important intel, and flew their ships horribly. Unsurprisingly, then, we all died. We'll do it again tomorrow and people will improve.

Reminds me of the guy who randomly warps in (with a double sensor booster honortanked cane) after we kill half his gang and are looting the field, and immediately commences a shooting duel with Kwark's Oracle (results are predictable). Except that this happens again, and again, all within the span of 2-3 minutes. n1 guys

Now, on the other side of the gate, Eramir is boldly trying to hold down another harpy in his rifter. Our gang is spread out across a couple of gates, having been split up looking for targets. I know precisely where everyone is, and we have more than enough hardware to fight on both sides of the gate without losses. I tell people precisely where I need them to be, and the tasks I need them to perform. It wasn't enough. Eramir does a good job of holding his harpy. He lasts a while, long enough for Zedd, in an enyo, to come from 1j out and get tackle on it. Zedd is fighting the harpy, apparently oblivious to the fact that it has an afterburner. Eramir probably should have noticed this as well, but he is newish so que sera etc etc etc.I land on the gate that has Nou (status unknown, he should be doing all right) on 1 side, and Zedd presumably winning his fight on the other side. I'm trying desperately to figure out what exactly is going on with everyone, but nobody is telling me what I need to know, and things happen too quickly in frigate combat to coax every piece of intel I need out of everyone and so I end up making a bunch of reasonable assumptions that didn't turn out to be so reasonable. Like that Nou would either shoot the harpy or not agress. Or that someone would notice that these guys have afterburners (this is a big deal, guys) in over a minute of combat that takes place before I land on the field. Things like that. Basically, I jump in to help Nou, who has agressed on the harpy after he let it blast him down to around 10% shields without returning fire. Nou dies horribly seconds after I've loaded grid and agressed on the harpy. I had no idea he was about to die, because there was no reason that he should have been about to die, and he didn't tell me he was about to die. So I (in my poor, poor taranis) end up webbed by an afterburning blarpy that is in full shields with Kazaam still 1.5 jumps out and Zedd losing to the other blarpy on the other side of the gate. I try and shake his scram but it's no use. I'm attempting to kite the blarpy on my side, but obviously he moves faster than I do since I'm webbed and, again, he is flying ab only in nullsec. I'm holding range all right, and he takes like A REALLY LONG TIME to swap to null but he eventually does it and I melt about 10 seconds after. Zedd apparently manages to get himself unpointed by the harpy on his side (mwd enyo vs ab harpy)...no one is really sure how this happened, but it did, and Zedd warps away. Kazaam finally arrives and charges into the harpy on Zedd's side, who somehow wasn't low enough after fighting with Zedd for like A LONG TIME for a 2nd enyo to finish it off before Kazaam dies in a fire. (harpies had neuts, even though our enyos had nos, I'm pretty sure the only thing that explains all of this is that our enyos were over running their reppers and not turning their blasters back on...) Zedd comes back to that same gate like 2 minutes later doing I DONT KNOW WHAT and then gets tackled and dies. The other guys had a falcon floating around too but obviously they didn't fucking need it. Oh before this all happened Liquid Courage tried to hero tackle one of the harpys and got killed in approximately 6 seconds presumably because he hit approach and/or orbit 500. Basically, no one was communicating anything to me. No one understands how to fly frigates (Zedd knows how to fly a frigate, I know this, but idk wtf was up tonight.) No one was really doing any thinking, apparently. It was really, really embarrassing. I was giving clear, concise orders. The plan, based on my intel, was flawless. If people had updated me as to what was going on, we could have made adjustments and still killed everything, without losing anything. If people had done a bit of thinking on their own, we could have killed everything without losing anything. If people had a basic level of competence in flying their ships, we could have killed everything without losing anything. It was mind-bogglingly bad. It's 5 a.m., I'm going to sleep now. Enjoy this semi-coherent tale of horribleness. All of you need to spend more time in both solo and small gang situations. If we ever have anything that even slightly resembles a repeat of what happened there, I'm going full Kwark-mode. You've been warned.
