just tried to gank a harb in a belt, when suddenly, FALCON. then suddenly..DEIMOS..then suddenly even moar ships. By the time we had a fleet forming up, kwark putting up skirmish links and getting his drake on the field. I had to reship from buzzard to dram midfight and missed scorpion and rapier!

Massive failfight on our side. Started with the 3 frigs ganking a harb and saying nothing was happening on comms then suddenly everyone was needed and we had no fleet composition, align or FC. I got made FC while still offline and had no idea what ships I had when we finally landed on the field. There was no align, no grouping of our ships and half of us were in frigates which meant whenever I called something primary dramiels charged at armour ships fitting scram web webs. Things went from bad to worse when a hostile drake warped out in armour while our harb managed to get itself webbed. However we managed to bring more ships in and it turned into a clean up. The mega that was then primaried warped out in low armour followed by our next primary, a geddon, in low armour. There was a continual and ongoing failure to call out the loss of points when lost and respond to those calls when given.

Overall it was pretty shit but sometimes fights happen when you're not ready for them. My standing rule when a few people are doing something and then get escalated when there's no FC is just to tell everyone to let them die and this is why. You can't have random guys on TS calling for every hatchery member to grab any ship and warp to a belt. Sucks.

Although it was pretty bad comms wise, We still did kill 2 BC's, 2 BS's, 2 Recons, 1 Heavy Assault Ship, an Interceptor and a Frigate whilst only taking a BC + 3 Frigate losses. 831m killed, 155m Lost.

From what i can see off the eve map so far there would only be 2 pockets in Molden Heath.

I flew down there (f***ing long trip from Delve for my toon) since i needed a change of scenery and thought i might actually stalk you a little and watch the action; maybe even whore on some lowsec kills, since 0.0 made my sec status look like a carebear.

What i did notice is that you had a very impressive and strong presence in 1 system, with occasional stings into neighboring areas. I couldn't be online 23/7, but i tried my best to peek into the different timezones, and I noticed big spikes amd drops in presence.

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy reading your thread, its refreshing and good light reading, but maybe it is due to me being used to sov mechanics; when my bunch was "holding space" in empire, there weren't ant other "locals" in our systems. Only "visitors".

Maybe i need to hang around a bit longer than a week, but its far from "controlling".

You should actually try 0.0 ; i am quite certain your concept pf "holding/controlling" space would change.

Furet we are very much joking when we say we 'control'. I'd say we have a 'presence' in the pocket but other than that MH is fair game for anyone. We also know about 80% of fleets or ships that pass through this area, especially since Oddelulf connects the Bosena->Egbinger and the Atlar->some-system chains together as well as is the entry system to the Isto pocket allowing us to engage anything we like and avoid fleets that vastly trump ours.

If we use your (proper) definition of 'control/sov', it is very much impossible to completely control a lowsec system, and we wouldn't want to either. That would be so boring. More people in the area = moar fights = more fun!
