i have this RL friend whos playing eve for a while and bought himself a carrier char. SPAM was having a out-of-eve minigames tourney when my mobile rang and this friend called me that his carrier is stuck in space, pirates shooting him. once we knew where he was, we formed up with some battleships to try to help him. once we jumped in i saw b2y (another german pirate corp which is flying with us from time to time) shooting the carrier together with the hatchery guys. i convoed them to make them stop shoot the carrier while in warp. we landed, tried to point stuff, but hatchery did a good job escaping. had a talk with the b2y guys afterwards, they just had a scout over there when they saw something was going up. their roaming gang headed for oddelulf and when they hit the grid they tried to get kills. after hatchery bailed they tried the carrier but discovered that they dont have the damage to break neither the remote, nor the own rep of the carrier, thus they called hatchery for help. tbh, this guy isnt a good pvper and will never be one. but hes still having fun in eve and thats what it should be about. i am certain his archon will not last very long, but if i can help a friend i will do it again. €: actually b2y tried to contact us for killing this carrier in our channel but we did read it too late^^ massive clusterfuck after all. | ||

Not an exact analogy but that's like saying why bother getting IV or V in energy skills if you'll never be able to perma run them with a mwd fit anyway. (And cap boosting is fine in a mission ship you lazy heads that want to advocate for a perma tank, go buy a pith a type med booster if you're that desperate). | ||

Do you count the rifter that ship scans your target before you kill it to determine what is fit is? Cause than it'll be 102 rifters to kill the carrier tyvm. | ||
