Ninja Edit: For the costs of the advanced books ask in SCBW for isk help. Believe me, you'll be happy you trained the learning stuff. If nothing else, just set the skills training and go about your life as if EvE didn't exist (minus setting next skill to train) for a week or so. No need to force yourself to get into EvE so fast when the beginning IS boring if you want to set up a good character foundation. Fun ramps up once you get a good set of core skills though.

Especially the advanced learnings which cost 4.5mil/skill and to get all that in time you have to forgo some of the stuff that helps you run the missions (and thus get cash for the advanced skills). Not to mention that learning learning is utterely boring and useless from a newbie view (at least mine). Why should I bother getting all of this learning so high in the beginning when I can do it later, when skills start to take really long to train and for now I'm happy learning my missile operations/missile bombardment etc. higher. It's actually not that hard at all to do within 2 weeks. Sure, you won't be in a cruiser or anything blasting crap away, but for tackling, it's pretty basic and easy to get all that up. It's boring yeah, but that's how most games are at the start. If money's the main issue: start doing the epic arc missions. 100k-200k per mission base+whatever you get in time bonus. And they're stupidly easy. If you get to a point where you're stuck in the arc [I'm still at Burning Down the Hive, haven't bothered to try it again after I lost like 2 destroyers], then go to the eve agent finder and find some level 1 missions and just grind them or find a good hub and do them. It may be boring at the start, but it's rather relaxing and quick to do, and you get some very nice money from the missions+salvage from all the wrecks [assuming you do kill type missions]. I'm not even a month into the game, and I funded my current character with all the advanced learnings [except charisma], and I funded a second character that I'm training up to be a simple mission/ratting bot with all his advanced learning skills; and I only touched that second character to move him closer to my main so it's easier for me if I get an item and want to contract it to him. It's really not that hard at all.

And we were still like "durr.... 3 days..... durr...... must get.... new spaceship...." Do it asap, you won't regret it if the general eve concept is appealing to you. =D

Where/how do you start this epic arc as a Caldari? if you completed a training arc, then the agent should guve you the location of the sisters of eve bureau where you can get it. If you can't remember where, look at your People & places tab on your neocom.

3 months ago Vil: Oh yeah Kizu, make sure you get support skills cause they are cool and stuff and you need it for fitting Kizu: But what about perception/int remap. I get pewpew guns and can fly ships Vil: No, int/mem is what you want. Kizu:...you sure? Vil: Yes 3+ months pass. I STILL don't have T2 of any weapons, not even small pulses. Vil's words of wisdom. ...Bastard
