1. Could you explain to me the process of gaining a new ship? Do I need blueprints? Can I buy the ship or do I have to construct it from materials somehow? What would be the approximate cost of a simple Kestrel I could run beginner missions with (the battleclinic site lists Kestrels in prices ranging from 0,8mil to over 19mil and this spread doesn't really tell me how much money do I need to gather before I'm able to change my ship)? etc. etc. 2. If my ship would have missile launchers equipped, do I have to buy ammo for it? 3. Are there in-game shops with basic ship modules and stuff or just the player-run market? 4. Is it ok to sign in for the Caldari Navy? What's the benefits/drawbacks? Can/should I do it now or should I wait until I'm flying something decent?

I wouldn't recommend you getting into manufacturing just yet, as it takes alot of ISK and experience to be succesful in that area. Just buy ships of the market. Almost all items in EVE can be bought from the market from other players. The way it works is that players aquire items in some way and put up sell orders on the market, and then other players buy them. The market is playerdriven. You should be able to a fitted Kestrel for beginner missions for less than 400k ISK. If you look at the battleclinic fits, most have modules such as "Standard Missile Launcher II", notice the "II". That means it is a Tech 2 variation of the Standard Missile Launcher. You shouldn't worry about those just yet, check the fits and fit them, but with "Standard Missile Launcher I" instead. Tech 2 modules are much more expensive than the Tech 1 variations, but abit stronger. There are four types of normal weaponry, Hybrid Turrets, Laser Turrets, Projectile Turrets and Launchers. All of them need ammo except for the Laser Turrets. Caldari ships generally use missile launchers. As explained above, the market is player-driven. I'm not 100% about what items are seeded by CCP, that is, sold by NPCs. I know blueprints and skillbooks are, but I don't know about the rest. As for Caldari Navy. Do NOT join "The Militia" or whatever they call it. That would put you into Factional Warfare, which would hinder your learning process. Just keep running missions for agents, like you did with the career agents. It doesn't matter much which corporation you run for (All agents belong to a corporation). Caldari Navy is a very common corporation to run missions for. What you do is you run missions for some Level 1 agent, until you have standings enough to run Level 2 missions, that's how you progress in the missionrunning business. You gain standings to that corporation for every completed mission for one of their agents. See http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Missions for great info regarding various stuff about missions. You can search for agents using www.eve-agents.com, for example put in Caldari Navy in the corporation box, and Level 2 agents in the level box and find out how much standings you need for a decent Level 2 agent.

After I changed ships all of the items in my item storage are gone - both cargo hold and base storage (so basically I have a ship but 0 fittings for it). Could someone please explain this bullshit to me?

This happens alot with new players, but trust me on this, the stuff is NOT gone. Click your assets button in the NeoCom, the bar to your left by default. All your belongings and the location of them will be listed there. If you can't find them there, check the cargobays of both your ships. In EVE, the stuff at station A stays at station A. If you dock up at station B, the stuff in station A won't be there. Yes, sooner or later you will have amassed alot of stuff and you will need to fly between stations sometimes.

This makes me miss EVE Remember that dramatic moment in Star Trek when they've lost contact with the rest of the fleet while in warp? It's like that, except better cause your shit is actually on the line.

Makes my crusader seem so small ![]() You're not going to get Doomsdayed anymore. DDs are no longer the area-of-effect sub-capital bashing tools they used to be. They're now anti-capital single-target weapons. You'll have to upgrade from inty to carrier to suffer one. :p

(Or make fun of the titan bridge pilot during a boring logistic ops) lol, for bobby its like they made the jump bridge portal have a 50% chance of failure. btw for non-corp guys, dont believe the goon propaganda that he's a faggot, the man is a fucking legend. ps revo come back so i can have a chance of actually finishing this school year
