Since I just started and I'm poor and have no standings/etc, I wanna run missions to get Implants to speed up training and money/standings. People donated 10.1mil to me on the 1st day which was a great help, ty So should I just get up to cruisers or BCs asap so I can run missions? Or aim for T2 tech items? Also, can somebody explain the Amarr play style? What role/type of ships will I be stuck in (comparing to sc: zealot, siege tank, dragoon)? I've heard from another member that Amarr ships are slow because of armor. This doesn't seem that appealing to me. Perhaps it's better to just train up Caldari/Gallente ships or something. Pulse or beams? Etc. I'll try to get basic and advanced learnings to 4 but I want to train in useful areas too. Btw, if somebody quit the game and has an established account already, can I have it to take over? | ||

Amarr the laser DPS race basically, their ships are generally not the fastest but have good middle to long range weapons and do just sick amounts of DPS. Their t1 frigs and cruisers are a bit underwhelming in the grand scheme of things, but their BCs and all t2 (cept their AFs) hulls are some of the best in the game. a rundown: The harbinger is the only BC you need to know basicly, it's a beast and with good tech 2 fitting can be pvp fit to do nearly 600 DPS with around 85k EHP. just a mean mean boat that can lay the hurt down in BC and HAC gangs, and can run missions well. basicly everyone loves harbis. The HAC zealot is the best sniper hac in the game bar none, and with sniper HACs being so popular so is the Zealot. The Armageddon is the best remote rep battleship in the game, with a triple 1600 plate and scorch ammo giving plenty of range to it's pulse lasers this is the big brother of the harbi, and basicly a staple of RRBS fights. The Apocalypse is an amazing sniping BS platform, with range upwards of 175km easy, and 400 dps out that far. enough said. The Guardian is the amarr logistics ship and is the best armor rep ship in the game should you choose to go that route. The two interceptors have a very different playstyle then the rest of the race (which is basicly to lay down hurt with the pew pew). The malediction is a very survivable fleet tackler/scout, with rockets making you able to do moderate dps while staying out of your tackled ships optimal range (in the case of ACs and basters this will save your ass). also has enough PG to fit a small repper and nos, giving you even more surviabilty (for an inty at least), with rigs it can warp 16.2au/s which is just about as fast as anything in the game. The Crusader lacks the mid slots to be a great scout/tackle but it's offensive capabilites make it one of the best anti support fleet ships as well as a mean mean solo frig hull. Certain very talente ceptor piolts in our alliance do amazing things with this ship. As for the assult frigs....man idk they also seem sorta underwhelming, i am toying with the idea of making a sniping retribution though, 100 dps at 57 km for a frig is not bad and very surviable do to range tanking. Also word to the wise get the training done with and train basic tackle frig skills then decide what you want your role in the fleet to be and train for it. As for pulse vrs beam, pulse is shrt range beam is long range, so just depends on what you need. | ||

Basic skills for tackle frig. Battlecruisers (quick!). Full T2 fit except guns (Hull Upgrades 5!) Battleships T2 Guns. Else you will have trouble making money/need much time for it (Harbinger is only good in lvl 3 Missions which pay bad compared to lvl 4's and, if you want to join the TL-Corp you probably will be in Great Wildlands where you'll find the worst Rats you can imagine for Amarr) ... :p Btw: Cool corps would live in stain :p. | ||

Revo is still AFK. Assumed abducted by poker hating aliens with superior ninja skills. (He said he wil return in 2 weeks time so there's still hope.) On top of this, I spent days planning how to increase my DPS so I can breeze faster through missions, and I can barely squeeze out 8% faster firing speed and 15% increased damage, etc after days. Then I look at Drone Interfacing, 80% dps increase in just 3 days. Want T2 pulse lasers and Scorch? Wait 30 days. Want T2 drones? 6 days. Gallente is the true PvE ez mode, just aggro, run away with afterburner while let the drones afk win the mission. Anybody got a Gallente character they want to give me? | ||

From what I've read, Amarr is also very good at killing shields in pvp and letting the rest of your group make up for whats left. Also thanks Vil for spending the time to tell me how weapons work. The meta thing totally eluded me until you explained it. | ||

As for making money, learn to ninja salvage. You need ~12 hrs of skill training only to successful ninja salvage. Salvaging to 2, Astrometrics to 2, Astrometric Rangefinding 1. That's it. I use a Probe (mimitar frigate) to scan and salvage. Scan first, then dock, fit salvagers and go salvage the lvl 4 mission wrecks. I also loot stuff if they're gone.
