Because we're better than others. That's why. Ok, in all seriousness, Liquid Corp is our identity in the game. We all know each other, we know where we come from, we can talk about anything SC related in game while shooting stuff. If you think TL channels in game are dead, it's just because you have the rotten luck of not living in Europe. We have quite a bit more Europeans in corp than Americans. There's plenty of banter in Euro prime time. I've definitely had this experience. I'm on the east coast in the US, so sometimes there's no one, but at peak Euro times there are lots of people chatting and very willing to help. By the way, thanks to the German chemistry student who gave me tips on what to train first etc. (I've been playing for about 2 days)! EDIT: I'm Gordon Alexander in EVE, shoot me a message!
I'm not in Liquid any more, but if you have a question during US TZ feel free to ask (I am in both #teamliquid and SCBW). If you need some Iskies for skills or whatnot, ask as well.

how many people do you guys usually have online in the eu prime time? Just wondering if i should join.. I dont want to join a corp with like 2 players online at the same time :-P Or do you do a lot of stuff with the alliance?
|
The alliance is pretty active, and from my experience it's mostly alliance wide ops, someone just decides to go for a roam and everyone jumps on alliance vent

I would like to join. i got 2m skillpoints alltogether. I got quite a bit of it in mining skills but got bored of it I do have all the learning and advanced learnings at 4 (except charisma), except adv. perc and willpower at 3. It'd take me like a week to get them to lvl 3 and it would only start to be effective like after a month of training lol.
I got min frig at 4 and min cruiser at 4 and 200k SP in gunnery. I can fly a tackler rifter with the MWD's and disruptors and all that. I dont have all of those skills at quite the required level for the corp, but i could get them in the req. level in 2~days.
i fly ingame with the character Juntta

If it would take a week for you to train adv. perc and will to 4 then you must have all your attributes in memory and intel or something. either way if you're gonna pvp I suggest you remap into 10points in perc and 4points in intel since that kinda covers most of the stuff you'll be training for a while.
Unless you're uber hardcore and wanna train all support skils now that you have mem/intel stats and fly a frigate on roams only to get yeld at by FCs :>

I just reactivated my account.
I have almost all basic and advanced learning skills at least at 4 and can fly cruisers (currently researching battlecruiser skill). I also have like 230M ISK. Oh, and I'm Gallente.
Can I join you guys ? The only thing is that I have almost no experience of PvP in EVE. Also, since it seems important, I'm from Europe.

tyr moving on to other games as well ? :p
|
Well yeah, I was bored and already have a decent account on this game. And I've always been fascinated by Eve, even when I was not playing.

I'm pretty sure you can join but we currently have a sort of leadership crisis. Revo is still mia, been almost 2months now. Vil has exams so he's not online a lot and all the other direcs don't log in often. I guess you should contact Supercrab, usually logs in 20.00 eve time.

currently i have 19 perception with the +3 implant. 20 if i get the adv learning... i could get like 19 willpower with +3 implant and the lvl 4 learning.
Is it any worth to go to pvp with this character, i can remap next time in september of 2010... ;_;
Basically, should i rather make a new character, or is there any idea to go with this to do pew pew?

New character
Your first remap should be Mem 15/Int 9 Get your learnings Next remap to 15 percep / 9 Int That should be pretty effcient for everything PvP related
Don't delete your old character. Play the game with that until your newer guy can take over missionings and such for iskies.

i think i'm going to make a trial acc with the buddy program, and train this guy to fly a hulk and then sell it lol.
|
No point in starting a new character, just train the skills you need on your main one. This game is cumulative so a new character will always be behind your 2mil SP character, even if you train with the SP speed bonus.
I already paid for 1 month after the trial and I'll see it out but this game doesn't seem fun. It's more like work but instead of getting paid, you pay them. The shear amount of skills needed to train and the waiting time is just staggering.

If i went to pvp with the horrible attributes i have now, i would probably have more SP with the new char by the time i can remap
I'll just sell the toon which i can mine with =P

Just started up my trial account, I'ma see how this goes -__-

Thanks for the isk Amnesty <3 This is gonna make starting sooo much easier.

since the TL corp current requirements for new members suck for various reason, all tl members can join the corp with 0-day skills from now on. the same requirements as before will remain in effect but only for flying in 0.0 with the rest of the corp. you will, however, gain access to corp vent, corp mails, and corp chat hilarity (also, training ops!) and your only contact with the corp wont no longer be through the seldom-checked #teamliquid channel ingame. so basically, youre all free to join up right this moment

Alright then, I may join up with my indy alt (still working on learnings though). Once he is finished I may be able to provide cheap rigs and ships + perfect reproc.

Just to reiterate for tl newbies, when you join the corp DO NOT come to 0.0 unless you have fullfilled all the requirements and gotten at least 1 training op from one of the more experienced members.
