. After installing of course I had to start retrieving all my accounts. Anyways I think I'm gonna play again, it looks so freaking butter! I have no idea what's really going on I basically quit when Deklein was invaded and my tower network had to be taken down. I still have a shit ton of isk and various black ops and machariels etc scattered. I'm not sure what I want to do but it's mostly gonna be for RP and fun since I don't really need ISK. Probably drop a citadel in a wormhole and try to stage from it? If anyone is interested in messing around or has any ideas let me know, I can happily fund a majority of our adventures. | ||

I realize looking back I was pretty shitty at just everything from human interaction to actually playing the game. But doing the fw missions in navy caracels and then those incursion or something groups with t3 cruisers kwark hooked me into tho taught me skills that I was a able to use at work and was pretty pivotal for crushing at leading a small team during covid making things work when we couldn't be near each other. Sorry I couldn't get my shit together while I was playing or give back for anything. | ||

Eve helped me learn that my true calling was in spreadsheets and now I basically just do real life analysis and optimization within constraints. I don’t regret the time I spent with any of you fine gentlemen, even though in retrospect I clearly took it way too seriously. I was in a place where I wanted to be serious about something and Eve was what I had. | ||

Make money? Probably better to run burners in a garmur. Or better yet, swipe the credit card. Trigger nostalgia? It will probably work now with HAM over RLML. Might aswell bring a Drake for that tho. I seem to remeber some targetting related drawbacks with the cloaking device, might be better not to fit it. For engaging cruiser sized content run abyssals over msisions. Can be done anywhere, actually has some variety, and theres a ton of info how to do it available. But is limited to t1, navy and t2 hulls. | ||

RLM tengu was initially a response to the fighter mission that killed me due to the high damage application and ability to get out of scrams. Alas that didn’t work when it couldn’t pass the gate to enter that mission. Returning to the core problem of “a drake but more dps” that leaves nighthawk and tengu, and I already have a tengu there. Or Drake Navy I guess. I think the best choice right now is looking like a HML 10mn AB covops Tengu with a passive tank. 100km+ lock range, 90km damage range, 600 dps. Problem is the trade offs, I’m struggling to combine the various things on my wishlist. The HAMs have better dps but worse range which require more tank and mobility so would be best combined with LSEs, computers, and a MWD. Can’t make that work with an oversized AB. Oversized AB takes so much grid that it needs to be combined with active tank for lower grid usage. Once I started looking at staying at range and using HMLs the covops seemed like it was a free upgrade. The tank sub wasn’t relevant with the range in question. The grid demands were substantially reduced allowing the electronic efficiency sub with lock range bonuses and an extra mid for the range computer. No real trade off needed. Lost its PvP capability but I wasn’t doing much in the way of PvP anyway. And the DPS was fine. The other issue is the propulsion as I was a little short on grid for a mwd but I could either router rig or AB. At some point I may go to Delve and do some missions there as I have standings and blues. I think the nullified prop sub may be switched in there. Not sure. Part of it depends on how soon I can get my other accounts unbanned. KwarK was a linkalt for Penguins for the last few years of me playing so it’s lacking in some skills. I can’t just grab a nightmare or machariel for example. | ||

Goons used to camp a lot in delve, last time I was there. Covert+interdiction sounds like a wise choice to me. To the snipe or brawl topic, both can be made to work on a tengu. At least that is true for beltratting and wh sites. The ship itself has fallen a bit out of favor after a few rounds of rebalancing, bit it will still do most of the jobs. At the end of the day it depends on if you value the positioning yourself on the grid gameplay, over the shieldbar goes up and down excitement I suppose. Long range is always safer if you need to bail, but you get the mission done quicker in high dps brawling. In my mind, it's a matter of preference. Personally I would be concerned, that two sbs are not enough to keep me alive during the initial wave. I havent had a chance to fly a drake navy, but the dps output on paper looks good | ||
