would surprise me if the new mordus ships will not be available in the mordus legion LP shop. I met some guys from the Mordus Legion alliance and what they basically said was that they are farming 24/7 now in their null sec home system to get ready to flood the market with the blue prints

The mordu's ships are the most bottlenecked ships in eve since AT hulls if the lowsec thing doesn't happen. Most pirate bs come from bpc drops in sites, not the LP store (seen by their shitty value in the LP store) and missions can't really be bottlenecked either due to most npc regions having a load of different agents available in. That mordus station is the only mordus station and there are no mordus rats or sites anywhere.

I know this advice has been given before, but if you're a new guy and worried about isk you should not be mining. Minmatar faction warfare is at T4 right now. In the same amount of time as one round of venture mining you could likely make 50 million isk by killing 1 NPC and orbiting a button.

Even if you don't want to do FW long-term and you just really love shooting rocks, go do FW for a few weeks and make a couple billion isk. Then go back to whatever you enjoy.


The thing is, you can't FW on trial accounts...
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

Yes you can. You need only join a fw corp which any of us can make for you. Shield battery is one such corp.

Did they mention what exactly this will entail? I'm pretty clueless about the current situation and have no subscribtion to look it up.

Does it mean there will be agents in lowsec systems? Are there already Mordus agents? Just rats? Will it be limited to a certain region? Guess it's time to watch the keynote again.

OTOH this isn't the only use of those statistics - they assist in know which systems are likely to be active and roughly when TZ wise - which is useful given that w-space is so sparsely populated. Finally it also let's you know when people in your own chain are active - in a delayed manner - which can be useful for finding fights again given that w-space is so sparsely populated.

Honestly I wouldn't care that much if they got rid of it, so long as there was some kind of compensating mechanic that made PVE less safe - and the ideas for that that have been floated are pretty dumb (a detectable deployable would be a shit, an undetectable one would be OP).

It's also amusing as it actually facilitates one of the few instances of 'small groups fighting over resources' which CCP claims to be crazy about.

Changing the API to not show NPC kills is going to suck. WH space is giong to get even more annoying to live in lol

But pvp kills will show? Or will there be no kills generated for the killboards from the api in whs anymore, just the ingame kill reports?

yes they will show, however for people just rolling holes looking for a hole that is active, NPC kills can tell you when, and how active that average hole is. Letting you know if / when you should try and come back for a fight- or just move on

Oh yeah - there are all sorts of ways in which it'll suck and in which the current game is largely only interesting because of that information. Perhaps I didn't stress enough that I'm in favour of it providing there are some other compensatory mechanics - however we all know that's not going to happen.

.. and tbh the other end of things makes me think W-space is annoying enough as it is (the whole devoter on a wormhole and more guardians than you have DPS, unless you are amongst the current giants du jour).

the design of wormholes made them no fun areas, people got around this problem but now CCP wants to ensure that wormholes are acting the way the designed them too
