But the conclusions he draws from this information are... interesting, to put it mildly. He thinks that things like links (which enable PvMany much more than hurt it) are harmful to the game and only serve to make blobs stronger etc. He solos without links and without scouting and complains about getting owned by ECM and gatecamps (legitimate complaints about game design but these problems are mitigated heavily by links and scouting). Generally speaking, when he says something completely dismissable, it makes me angry because he ought to know better. Instead he chooses to live in some kind of fantasy world more than half the time. | ||

for an example of what I consider a better video: excellent piloting, some very thoughtful positioning/isolation tactics (especially with the thorax v blob) see, for example, the rax v enyo comet rax rax fight at ~17:00, he is hard tackled by comet with thorax closing at 50 km. As the comet enters structure you can see him search for the celestial align directly opposite the incoming thorax. He's already thought through his exit strategy - you can even see him pulse his MWD after comet dies. thorax is too close and lands web, though, so he gets scrammed and dies in a fire. Nonetheless it is a pleasure seeing someone multitasking that well. | ||

it is just that the decision is so devoid of logic...surely he must know that orbit at X command results in you auto approaching to X range? if it was a competently fit abaddon (DCU is useful module, perhaps)...well, the cerb was in armor after the fight. http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15458550 i have no idea why this guy was ratting in a plated ship. unless he was baiting without a warp disruptor in which case his skill at game is too high for me to comment on. | ||

Just after VoV and I finish our little roam, I jump into a system and see a pirate Rupture. I'm like "what the hell, why not", and open up on it while pulling some range. He shoots back and launches some Hammerheads at me. Suddenly a merlin, rifter, thrasher, catalyst, and a second Rupture show up on short range Dscan. Sweet. I keep point on the first rupture (which is in half armor by now, and it's plated), while shooting at the tackle frigates. One scrams me at one point, but I kill it within seconds to get myself free. The other leaves after I shoot at it for a bit, only to warp back at range. Next fastest things, oddly enough, are the destroyers. I shoot at them a bit to get them to leave. They also come back at range. The 2nd rupture launches his drones at me. I see they are EC-300's, so I instantly start shooting them down. I get 3 of them down before I get hit with a jam cycle by one of the remaining 2 drones.  Both ruptures leave the field, followed by everything else. Caracal imba. EC-300's >>>>> Caracal | ||
