So we're having a fun argument over on the 7-2 forums about what changes could be made to rebalance slowcats.
I wasn't aware there is a problem. But if you want a solution, I propose two:
-Racial carrier role bonus: -20% role bonus to self-destruct timer. Then put the self-destruct button right next to the assign drone button.
a slightly more realistic one:
-Assisted player must manually assign each flight of sentry drones, thus requiring HIGH-SKILL CEILING gameplay to control, making 0.0 fleet combat a true ESPORT*.
*matchfixing and tourneys allegedly not paying prizes included free of charge

For Archon, Thanatos, Chimera:
Role Bonus: -50% tracking and optimal range to sentry drones
Then will we see more Nidhoggurs?

I just had my turret dps drop to a third of what it should have been in space at random. It showed the wrong number on the fitting window, shit wasn't dying when I shot at it, it was like eve assumed all skills at 1 or something. When I relogged (changing nothing else) it was fixed. Fuck eve.

Altaen, I think any of those changes would work. I think its the assignment that is more of an issue than the infinite drones though.
Small gang pantheon, like r&k did is fine imo, the problem is that mass carrier scales too well, especially when you have supercap superiority

I agree. While on one hand I legitimately wanted to hear what you lot had to say. On the other, I just wanted to hear people agree with my point of view >.>
I don't have a strong opinion that a rebalance is needed, really, but I think the currently viable counters are super boring, I think the counters that would exist if they limited the Assist capabilities are interesting, and I think the counters available if they limited the number of drones are boring.

Any game that can get KwarK this riled up must be good. I've had a few friends recommend EVE but I've never had the interest enough to get into it. I think 7 years dedicated to non-casual gaming burnt me out ;_;

I invested around $18000 worth of game money into PLEX because the price was steadily increasing in an inflationary cycle but the owners of the game decided to fuck their profit margins and try and drive the prices back down through creating them and selling them to players for real money and offering better prices than they previously had.

Not at all, I don't buy into that fallacy whereby I've lost 80b so I need to hold onto them to try and make it back. I understand there is no difference between choosing not to sell today and choosing to buy today. However I continue to hope that PLEX will not get cheaper, while they're not as cheap as they were a year ago anymore there has been inflation in everything, trit is twice what it was for example. I also hope that CCP will stop the sales eventually out of greed because they're costing themselves $ by selling plex for less.
It's also a little bit of an issue that you can't really move 1200 plex, even if you want to. If I right click sold the price in jita would go down to about 3m.

The long run of PLEX prices is determined by isk sinks and faucets, which haven't been changed by this sale.
