The roam starts with Oracle, 2 Harbinger, Drake, Curse + tackle fighting an Ashimmu + RR Dominix duo. I was not present at the start, but it seemed from comms that the fleet lacked the dps to break any of the armor tanking vessels, which was not aided by Karah Serrigan burning out his launchers during the fight. Along our travels to R3-, professional scout Liquid’Courage jumped into a system and reported “there is no one here but the bubble”, and by “no one” that really meant a wolf and an omen navy issue. The wolf was not aggressed and thus managed to escape through the gate. We dropped a cane on the initial burn-out, then focused on killing the light tackle, dropping a couple AFs / dictors. Things seemed to be going well, but then disaster struck: (notify) (Loki)Silver Dolan <CVA> has started trying to warp scramble “(Oracle)Wrathful Penguins <TL>” A CVA in his True Sansha Loki™ had decloaked behind our Harbinger/Drake frontline and started dropping our Oracle quite quickly. However, Liquid’Courage quickly scrams the ninja Loki, and the Drakes put on overheated webs, allowing the Oracle to escape with a burned MWD. The Loki’s situation quickly sours, as his cunning positioning has placed well beyond the protective reaches of his friends, and in the middle of many TL angries. Being of shoddy Minmatar scrapheap-construction*, the Loki falls quite quickly. *Alternative explanation: True Sansha rats do not drop faction 1600mm plates, and thus he could not bear to ruin the purity of his ship by fitting them. We then primary a heavily tanked Drake (2x LSE, 3x hardeners, cap stable), which takes a while to drop. Throughout this time, AFs are continuously trying to pin down our Curse. Unfortunately, because we switch our focus to them (killing a Wolf + Jaguar pair), we allow 2 BCs to escape in structure. A Hyena, for some reason, begins approaching my Drake – “m8, I web u.” Well, “m8 I web you”. He dies in 2 missile volleys. After we kill a Harbinger, the Provi-police retreat to a safe spot and we warp off. With a good warpin, we manage to snag an out-of-position Drake before heading to Misaba to rep up. Total losses: Merlin, Rifter Wrathful Penguins “Taste the Rainbow” solokills count: 2 (Manticore + Purifier) Perhaps bristling over their defeat, the Provi-police comes into Misaba and begins camping the station undock. However, things are rather uneventful as they refuse to GCC on me leaving the station. However we decide to safe up and let them probe us down. Probes pulled, game on. Their force numbers around 20 now, with some replenished tacklers (Slicer, Ares) and some new hardware (Absolution, Typhoon, Onyx). First blood is drawn when a Thrasher ventures too close to our Oracle. After a few minutes of establishing warpins, we manage to land point on a sniper Tornado, sealing his fate. Their entire tackle corps is killed off rather quickly – Ares/Jag/Punisher/Slicer. Unfortunately, a Typhoon comes to the front of their fleet, hampering our efforts to get points on their less-tanky / more-expensive hardware. Nevertheless, we manage to add 3 BCs to our tally before they evacuate the field. Losses: none Aggrieved hostile’s post fight commentary: reflex94: 2012-08-22 22:13:32 GJ FC ! 20 vs 7 and all blue dead..... The hostiles then began camping the Misaba gate back in R3-, though their camp now lacks tackle, and their numbers have diminished to ~13, with 2 Nagas providing long-range sniper support. We decide to jump into their hictor bubble. Unfortunately I spawn on the opposite side of everyone else and thus am forced to burn off at a different angle. The hostiles are understandably reluctant to burn off the gate, but we do manage to kill a Vagabond + a Drake that decided to impale himself on our lasers and missiles. Wrathful Penguins “Taste the Rainbow” solokills count: 2 (Thrasher + Cheetah) I leave fleet at this point, but it seems the forces of peace and justice ran into some bait involving 2 guardians, 2 arazus, some apocs, and a lot of other shit.
