The Fox Hound guild is new, and are currently looking for new members to help, quest, raid, participate in PvP warzones, and to help each other on ranking up. If you are interested on joining us please contact one of the following officers in the North American west coast server : Black Vulkars you can whisper /Akiba or /Vaughn and let them know you are interested. We also speak over Skype, and we always have a channel with members that are active. We will only consider members who want to have fun and are semi-core on being active with the guild. You must be at least level 15+ but if you a serious player we will take the time to help you get set up and also "tutor" you if you seem like the type that meets our standards. We will also consider making a Republic faction later on as we progress. But in the meantime just pop on by and help with a few quests and see for yourself if this guild suits your needs. We are not greedy on "drops" and if the item has value to your specific class, we will be more than happy to give you all the spoils. All we ask is if you do the same. Please consider us as your guild and we will do our best to help you have the best experience on SW:TOR as possible. Thank you for your time.

I agree with you on the "stupid names" thing, but meh, each to their own.
And spookipoo really isnt anything to write home about, i call my wife honey bum and buba poo ffs -_-.
There are some really retarded names out there in the hands of children, or overgrown ones though.
He meant, I think, your name being "spookipoo the guardian." Which isn't, I don't think, what you meant your name is.

Got this game for my birthday just before Christmas, but didn't get a chance to rip into it until yesterday night. Sith on Twin Spears with about 8 RL friends in a guild called Part Time Pros. Send me a mail in game if you are a lowbie looking for a guild
That AMA was pretty cool, looks promising for future content. I was kind of hoping for something like "Jump to Lightspeed" from SW:G - Nothing would make me happier than reliving the X-Wing/TIE Fighter days ^^

Oh well, still really enjoying the game so far.
are you affliction spec? I'm lightning atm and its horrible for pve because affliction has the talent to restore hp when dots crits.
Also, kiting is amazing

Can you post the damage range in the tooltip for maxlevel telekinetic throw, disturbance, Mind Blast, Weaken Mind, Project and Telekinetic Wave/Force in Balance? I want to calculate the difference beetween balance, telekinetic and hybrid skills but don't find any information on the damage of the skills and on my current level, the numbers are screwed because i cannot compare skills midlevel. Thx in advance Another question, maybe you can help there as well. The Talent presence of mind, which gives the next skill with activation time 20% more damage after proccing from telecinetic throw does only affect the dd component of Mind blast, correct? Also, it seems to activate while channeling the spell, which could lead into thinking, that the ticks themselves proc with 30% chance, however, the overall chance i get seems to be rougly every third tlekinetic throw, which would mean that it means the spell, not the ticks. Can anyone confirm that? These are all without gear on (with gear in parentheses) Throw: 704 (2473) Disturbance: 262-326 (1001-1065) Mind Crush: 242-306+394 (930-995+1385) Weaken Mind: 414 (1456) Project: 315-380 (1189-1253) Telekinetic Wave/Force: I'm heals As to the 2nd part of your other question there could also be an internal cooldown on the talent. Ah, thx for the work, however, this seems very low. I am not entirely sure, but on lvl 27, i think i will be able to buy a telekinetic throw that does 800 damage on the tooltip? Or is the Tooltip already taking gear into consideration? Would be pretty crazy to show me the damage i will do with my current equip on the tooltip of the spell at the trainer Anyway, the damage of the spells should be weighed correctly, no matter what the multiplicator comes from, so that will do nicely, thanks.
Tooltip takes gear into account.

So i started a sith alt (btw if you make a sith on the same server you still get legacy xp for it and it becomes part of your legacy even if your main was republic)
I decided to go for an Inquisitor sorceror. Now i wanted to choose some different crew skills this time around, and i went with the interesting combination of Cybertech, Slicing and underworld trading.
Now i know that since i chose slicing i am going to be spending alot of money on scavenging crafting items fromo the GTM. The question is though, will the money i make from slicing make up for that, and is it viable to take a crafting proffesions without taking both proffesions that are supposed to go with it.
I just hope im not stuck unable to make something because i cant find the Crafting material on the AH. Slicing really intrigued me though, its instant gratifications as you actually get credits from doing missions.

Just take Cybertech and scavenging and buy the Underworld Items at the GTM, that will save you alot of money.

but i will take that under advisement, after i chose it i realized that im gonna be pretty screwed for making all the starter items because you usually have to make a ton of greens before you gett the recipes for the blues.
With that being said though, i should get alot of blue schematics from slicing meaning i will need alot of underwold trading metals.
Regardless of that i still think your right, ill prolly switch. Unless .... their is a neutral auction house? My main on the republic side of the server is a scavanger XD.
Too good to be true im betting though.
edit: Ah sweet, i heard the market on nar shadaa is actually neutral , can anyone else confirm this, if so ill probably just stick with underworld trading for the companion gifts, and start doing low level scavenging quests again on my gunslinger. shit i could even ditch underworld trading and take up something else as my main has that too. Maybe investigation :D
|
Thank god they have a neutral market, now suddenly i dont feel so bad about making a sith on the other side of the server, i thought i was gonna be a pain in the ass for sharing crafting and money, but apparently not :D
Edit: anyone else playing either on the sith or republic side of Warriors of the Shadow. If so hit me up through a PM or in game at either Aristal (republic) Or Luthus (Empire)

I average about 50-80. i think ive seen it as low as 30 though.
I have a 100mbps connection though.
go to pingtest.net and check your ping.
Now remember your latency will be considerably better than it is in game on this site, like usually i get 5ms, but i average 50-80 in game. If your getting over 25 you should probably be slightly worried and anything over 50 it may be a problem.
It also checks for stabibility

I had same problem. at 32, I gave up, specced heal, and never looked back. Super easy to level with heal spec and khem. PvP is also better. I have 70-80% winrate as a full heal spec sorc.

Does anyone know if Bioware is planning on adding an arena type system like WoW had? I'm interested in small scale competitive PvP.

What is the point of Diplomacy? Slicing, you kinda get money or just break even as it seems to be the case. And I chose Diplomacy more because I've pen and paper role-played characters with Diplomacy. But so far, I just get these lame gifts that are not worth so much... is it just to romance your companion faster?
I don't do this MMO thing very well- don't think in terms of DPS, Tank, and Healer. More like double-bladed lightsaber! Cool, I want that one. I also tend to switch clothing for conversation if I get some lame clothing that has better stats. (It really bugs me that hair disappears when a Jedi wears a hood.)
I was choosing Need over Greed, because I figured Greed meant you wanted it more... you know because you are greedy. And then I didn't understand why I kept winning all the shared loot. Now I feel like a jerk.

For medical supplies to support BioChem and also to farm DS/LS points to max quicker or correct previous errors in choices.

I played a few games while I was waiting in a 1800 person queue during early access. Other than that, haven't touched SC2.
