I know the HP and damage are all normalized for lower level players, the question is how will better gears benefit the player? I know the higher lvl someone is the more skill he has. Its kind of silly, the talents alone and unique abilities from levels make it hard if your team is outleveled. But in most bgs i end up with top dmg and im only lvl 25 even when there are 40+ players on my team. But like if your a sentinel(like me) you dont get any disables slows stuns until around lvl 18 then nothing useful until past 22, if you try to play all the hps in the world wont let you chase someone down. Some classes feel really strong too btw, i played against a 10 inquisitor team and i think 1 kill was the most anyone on my team had at the end.. But ya to answer your question it feels like theres a baseline and your stats put you over it, so lvl 50s have more things but only like 2000hp sometimes than a lvl 11

HP and stats are normalized via level. Gear adds to that. So if you have awesome gear, you hit like a truck, if you have terrible gear, you hit like a flower. No different than any other mmo. Difference now being that nobody has "Awesome" gear just yet

I had much better releases back in 2000's. First of all i hate been treated like a second rate scrub. Swtor should have had a seperated european department like all mmorpgs have. Having maintance on release date ITS THE WORST , THE WORST thing someone can do. On top of that the maintenance is in u.s time zone thus screwing europe badly. Second they drop forums at the same time as well. So theirs virtually no info , nada which is absurd as well. The only info som1 can get is from twitter , im fairly sure if bioware was running that it would have been down as well , which btw is full of complains like " i cant login " etc etc. The most hillarious is that their customer support blows ( well that was to be expected) and some guys are getting the " you have to call support" message , even if that can cost them hundreds of euros cause its not free apart 3 countries woot. Furthemore the game it self is still feels beta esp the pvp which blows ( you dont get rewards from open world pvp how retarted is that ) awfull warzones - they should effective , immediately remove "huttard" warzone Overall disappointed , in no way i see this been the next big thing or anything remotely close to it first off from their crap of launch and their incompetent support team. Secondly because they screwing pvp majorly ps : o gl getting in with 2-3 hours queues , im sure i wont be resubing anyway. ps 2 : i can see blizzard laughing somewhere '

The thing about it is I'm averse to skyping the whole time I'm playing a game/don't really want to skype at all. I've played lots of RPG's and I think star wars is pretty much the coolest, especially Old Republic stuff is a badass universe to have a game in. I've played a decent amount of online SC2, Halo, and such but never an MMO. I've been following this thread and watched a few of the utube vids on this. Also something to keep in mind is I only know 2 guys who will be playing a lot. Last thing to consider is my internet is very fast, system specs are good, but I do get rare timeouts once every night or 2 in sc2 matches that drop me from games. If anyone has anything to say about that to me I will be checking back later tonight so try to convince me to get it/why to get it and maybe you will change history. Or just say stfu don't bother y'know whatev guys! I've been considering playing as well. I used to play City of Heroes with my brother and wife (at the time GF) for hours. It's really the only MMO experience I have but I was kinda a min/maxer while they stumbled along and I respec'd everything for them. One thing they both didn't care for at all was story (but that's a big selling point for me). With the story being the focus I'm really wanting to buy this game and play from release but I'm having a hard time getting anyone else I know to get on board with me so I feel like I'll probably end up solo'ing and the team play was the most fun part of City of Heroes. I guess if I can get into a guild with people from TL I won't have to solo everything. Anyone out there with recommendations would be appreciated.
