Also how does combat feel? like does it feel like you're beating/gunning the shit out of someone? or does it feel detached. Combat is pretty fluid and not detached. Several times my character will whip his lightsaber behind him to deflect a blaster bolt that was actually coming right at him, and its not jsut for show, I actually see the <parry> text float above me as i do it.... The one move i like to use is Ravage, i beleive, its a 2-3 second long melee ability that hits them 3 times and is channeled, so you can see the entire animation play out, or move and cancel the remaining time left.

Its not that i dont like mmo's, its that the amount of time they suck from me scares me a little. to put it in perspective i played wow for like 4-5 years. but i tried aion, ffxi and maplestory and didn't really like them (played like literally 1 hour of ffxi, 2 months of aion, 2 months of maplestory). I'm worried about 2 things: a) i'll start an mmo and wont be able to organise time around it and b) that i'll buy it and it wont grab me like aion etc. How are the servers? Are there oceanic servers? or just us/eu? How are classes/races/factions done are the classes independant of faction? are races faction dependant? Just as alittle bit of rundown from some of your questiosn.... while there are only 4 classes per side(basically mirrored classes across empire/republic) each class is basically the equivalent of 2 wow classes(theyre called advanced classes). Each advanced class had 3 talent trees(2 unique and 1 shared across the entire class). You will be able to respec your talents, but not your advanced class. The classes have clearly defined roles, as in if you choose a Powertech Bounty Hunter there is a talent tree for tanking and 2 for damage, if you choose a Mercernary Bounty Hunter there is a healing tree and 2 dps trees. I believe there are only 2 advanced classes that can ONLY dps, those being the Sniper Imperial Agent and the Sith Warrior Marauder(plus their republic equivalents). I have yet to have a single disconnect or server instability issue yet, and for an MMO launch thats pretty damn good, servers seem to be working quite well. And while I don't believe there are Oceanic Servers(at this time at least) i know there is an "unofficial oceanic server", can't remember which server it is im sure some searching would be able to find it for you. Races seem to be just really thrown in there for a bit of customization, not much really matters except for maybe some conversation options(i.e. because i chose not to be a human bounty hunter all of the sith continually talk down to me because im an alien) and for you to look how you want. Some races are playable by both faction and multiple classes, and some aren't(i.e. you can't play a pureblood sith on republic side). For just an overview of the game and how it feels i would say if you liked the combat mechanics of wow(or at least were ok with them) the game will feel pretty familiar to you. The combat animations are much better than wow though, and they look quite good. The game is a total blast so far(only level 17) and it is just amazing to me.As a hardcore PvPer in WoW I really didn't like the pvp when i played in beta, but its definitely growing on me and im quite enjoying it now. The story and voice acting is just excellent so all thats left to be seen for me is how endgame works. Hopefully this helped a bit Kiante, or anyone who wanted to know more.

At least, that is the impression I'm getting from reading this thread. Has BioWare released any information regarding what they plan to do? Even a quoted source hinting at them implementing something similar to arena would do it for me. For pvp it just looks like world and battleground style for now, they will probably add in some stuff more geared towards endgame like rated battlegrounds. (The current BG's are pretty fun except for hutt ball). I think they have some blogs about what they plan to do later on, I am at work right now so I do not have much time to dig through.
