Invites waves start in 1 hour. Im hoping ill be on the first wave (likely the second or third though) they said they should get almost everybody today (yesterday they said "we couldnt quite get everyone in today" so i assume that means by today most will have the early access)
crossing my fingers for the first wave i preordered on the 10th, i think they made it up to the 6th or 7th yesterday so im close!!! ended up napping for a few hours and now just woke up probably gonna watch the new episode of its always sunny then check to see if i got in at 6 then make my character and nap for a few more hours (if i can resist playing that is)
Cant wait to get my own spaceship!
Im choosing the smuggler class, i played the empire in the beta and chose bounty hunter but my friends want to play republic so as much as i loved the bounty hunter im going to have to try out the smuggler.

Hey guys. i'm like, super duper lazy and stuff. but I've seen a fair bit of press and stuff about this game, but its hard to really know what the game is actually like.
Its been a long time since i touched an mmo, and its not something i'd want to do lightly.
so, is swtor any good? Is it better than wow was? Why should i play it? I was hoping someone could help me out.

So why you should. If you like star wars this is a good mmo VERY GOOD STORY for each class pvp was great in beta and raiding is raiding
Why you shouldnt its an mmo if you dont like mmo the likely hood of you playing a month then quitting is pretty high
(but imo This is worth the money the amount of time bioware put into just for the story is worth the money of buying it with the free month then after that if you dont like the end game well there always SC2 and bw :D
And its like wow in the sense thats its an mmo. other than that it is its own type of mmo.

How many classes are there? Are they unique? Are there clearly defined roles? Its not that i dont like mmo's, its that the amount of time they suck from me scares me a little. to put it in perspective i played wow for like 4-5 years. but i tried aion, ffxi and maplestory and didn't really like them (played like literally 1 hour of ffxi, 2 months of aion, 2 months of maplestory).
I'm worried about 2 things: a) i'll start an mmo and wont be able to organise time around it and b) that i'll buy it and it wont grab me like aion etc.
How are the servers? Are there oceanic servers? or just us/eu?
How are classes/races/factions done are the classes independant of faction? are races faction dependant?
