The methods i've heard about: Buying a key from a dodgy CD key vendor place, buy a copy on amazon (wont get here till january third or something) and getting the cd key off it, getting a US friends card or something. I COULD do all those options, but i wanted to hear from someone who actually did it so i dont end up doing something that doesn't work or takes forever to get to me. so, does anyone know?

I played the beta for about a week reaching only level 15 as a Jedi Sentinel. I am interested in joining the USEast PvP TL guild, but before I can do that, I need to buy the game! If I want to play as soon as possible, how should I purchase the game? Just purchase digital thats what I did, got my key already to. Unless you don't want to download then just buy the physical from a near by location or amazon ![]()

I'm probably going to jump on the dodgy CD key vendors once they're back in stock. Looks like everyone else had the same idea, it's sold out on all the vendors I checked. Still, I'd love confirmation that it works for Aussies.

That is why I am so into the game. I have never been able to get into MMO's with only text, I tried them all. WoW was boring, lotro was ok for awhile but got boring, same with other mmo's. this is the first MMO that I just want to keep playing.

If I want to play as soon as possible, how should I purchase the game? I have a Empire guild with TLers set up on The Twin Spears, it's an east coast PvP server. The guild's named Notorious, you can message Rahaze for an invite.

My opinions on this game don't warrant being personally assaulted in this thread and in PM's, frankly. I also don't appreciate having my opinions, despite how well thought out and backed up with personal experiences met with one liners and useless generalizations and baseless ad hominems with no actual discussion of my points. It's honestly more humorous in the past few weeks just to fuck around with the thread rather than intelligently post, because apparently being unnecessarily hostile is the most efficient way to get an intellectual point about in this thread. I would love to actually discuss this game. I have brought videos, personal experiences, pictures, so forth in the past months as I first began to play it, see it, so forth. Both positive AND, yes, negative. Mostly the latter, even in the latest few weeks. However, when all I'm met with is childish hostility and insults -- what do you expect me to do? How do you expect me to react? EDIT: I reread that after I posted it and it came off as extremely whiny and martyr-esque. I did not intend to come off as such, so please pardon my flavor of speech. All I'm trying to make is, it's just a damn video game and it's just my opinion from my personal experiences of it. I don't see how that garners such hostility.

Also I don't know what class you're playing but playing powertech feels like nothing I played in wow. Also lol the whole fruiscante thing starting up again....

If one comes into this game with the expectations of having a nice, fun MMO that sticks to a proven formula -- there's nothing awkward about it at all and will be quite the enjoyable ride. If they go in with overly high expectations (which a LOT of people are) and they find it out to be really nothing that new, it could very well be kind of awkward. The connotations of those words are highly relative. That's the point he's trying to make, I believe.

Just because it uses the same combat mechanics as wow(fyi every single SUCCESSFUL mmo for the next 50 years will use the same mechanics) doesn't mean it FEELS like wow, and it doesn't mean that theres nothing new about it.

This could be debated Ad Nauseum, but it's quite fruitless as at the end of the day, it's all opinions. (fyi every single SUCCESSFUL mmo for the next 50 years will use the same mechanics) Nice statistics/facts to back that up. Don't talk out of your ass in an intellectual discussion, please. I'd like to hold the posters of TL to a higher standard of baseless assumptions and hyperbolic statements. If you're going to make such a bold statement, provide your reasoning behind it. What mechanics will continue to be used? Why will they continue to be used? What are you even talking about? Explain your position. I have explained mine at least 20 times in this thread in huge essays on my opinion. All you have posted is "this game is good and you're just a troll/gw2 fanboy/etc." Provide, concisely, what your opinion is and why it's true. Not this crap. Just because it uses the same combat mechanics as wow doesn't mean it FEELS like wow Yes, yes it does.

I'd like to hold the posters of TL to a higher standard of baseless assumptions and hyperbolic statements. And anyway how is THIS FEELS TOO MUCH LIKE WOW- THIS DOENS'T FEEL LIKE WOW an intellectual discussion. My god dude, you wonder why everyone jumps down your throat everytime you post in this thread, yet you continue to post like this. Have fun being a douchebag in this thread, while i go fun playing my new awesome game.

There's a quintessential difference between me saying "X and Y are very similar, therefore they are similar" and you saying "The WoW mechanics will be utilized by every successful MMO for the next 50 years" with nothing to back it up. No logical reasoning, to examples, nothing. Please stop. You're embarassing yourself. And you're just replying to one statement out of an entire post. Which seems to be a recurring theme in these mini-debates you seem to be so happy about having with me. I write out a nice sized post, you pick five words, reply to those only, and ignore the rest. ![]() Have fun being a douchebag in this thread, while i go fun playing my new awesome game. Heh. Well, have fun then. Time had fun is time well spent, in my book. If I'm a douchebag to you, please PM me and we can discuss it further to sort out our differences. Otherwise, please don't take your personal qualms with me publicly in a thread not meant for it ![]()
