I derped and waited until Nov. 14th to add it. He's misreading it, Nov 2nd is just the one date on everyone's account. No one got in today later than early October. He did buy it in september but waited until november to redeem the code, so maybe it is based off of the code you got and not when you activated it on the swtor website. It is based of when you activated it, but pretty sure he's still misreading it.

I'm more concerned about how the PvP exploit is going to be treated than getting into EGA.

There's no real way to know who was exploiting and who wasn't since all it was was queuing for warzones and having them end without enough players on the other side.
They'll just fix it so that a closed game due to player count doesn't award XP and be done with it.

There is a VERY real way to know at least some of the people who exploited.

This was proven to be false, there were no level 50 characters on day 1.

But it's really unfair. Not only do these people get first day EGA but they also get to max level in no time (as opposed to the expected 1 month) and with no effort involved.

The boost people got out of that was not reliable nor was it really that significant. There was a boost, certainly, but unless you were planning on personally being server first or world first it isn't something that is going to matter. I think people are blowing it way out of proportion.

I pre-ordered November 29th. I think I'll be right around the cut off line tomorrow, hopefully I make it in. I can't wait to play it!

Sorry if this has been asked to death, but I haven't been following this game too closely. My questions are:
1. How true does this game stay with KOTOR and 2's story? I've read pieces on the official forum that they ignored some events in KOTOR 2. True?
2. How is the combat? Is is cheesy? How balance are the classes? Do you feel powerful wielding a lightsaber or does it really depend what skill path and items you choose?
3. Is the game massive? Bigger or smaller than WoW? I saw videos of space combat and how you can have your own ship. Is that feature useful or just a fan service gimmick?
4. Will a hardcore Star Wars/KOTOR fan enjoy this game?
Sorry for the random questions, but this is the first MMO game that I have considered paying a subscription for. Thanks!

1. From what I've played it stays true to the original KOTOR games.
2. Combat is your standard MMO combat. There are some really cool combat animations.
3. The game is massive. There are around like 17 planets, not sure of the exact number. Right now space combat isn't really anything special, its fun. They have been talking about an update in the future that will massively change space combat.
4. Yes a hardcore Star Wars fan will enjoy this game. I am a hardcore Star Wars fan and I love it.

It doesn't really focus that much KOTOR lore, but the lore is good, there's a lot of focus on class quests though so some classes have a lot better lore than others.
2. How is the combat? Is is cheesy? How balance are the classes? Do you feel powerful wielding a lightsaber or does it really depend what skill path and items you choose?
Standard MMO combat system only that there's no autoattack, classes are fairly balanced and wielding a lightsaber feels pretty good and has a nice flow to it, feels sort of fast-paced.
3. Is the game massive? Bigger or smaller than WoW? I saw videos of space combat and how you can have your own ship. Is that feature useful or just a fan service gimmick?
Not in a position to comment on the size of the world. Spacecombat is just used for a few missions and dailies, you can't actually freely control your ship so it's a bit boring. You own the same ship that you can do spacecombat on, but you can't customize it at all so it's basically useless and not at all like player housing.

Definitely, the levelling alone is awesome and you don't really have to be into MMO's at all, if it would have been offline and singleplayer it would still have been a great RPG game that I'd gladly have purchased at this price.

They just added over a dozen new servers to the US server list (all are currently offline at the moment).

@Rockjaw Stephen Reid I *know* you want to get let into the game. By tweeting at me about that, you're preventing me from helping people with real issues. Thanks.
haha bioware is starting to snap after 2 days of mmo-running :D

Thanks for the answers. 17 planets? That sounds like a good amount in my book. Cool.

Thanks for the answers. If each class has its own storyline, do you know if they will eventually run into another class? Like if a Jedi player runs into a Sith quest and you choose whether or not to do it? Since this is a MMO with an emphasis on story, will there be alternate endings? Or is it too early to say?

Here's an update on early access:
http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=16391
"A quick update on today's invites, and a little preview of tomorrow.
Today, we invited people who had pre-ordered up to the very beginning of October (roughly). Tomorrow, we're going to be inviting the same number of people again; that will take us up to the last week or so of November. On Friday, we'll be inviting even more, and we'll give you an update on that tomorrow.
You'll see more servers coming online tomorrow (not necessarily all of those listed on the Server Status page, though) and almost certainly there will be some queuing. That was always expected. As a reminder, our plan here is to maintain healthy server populations post launch, and during the excitement of launch that will mean queues. That said, we'll be working hard to keep those queues reasonable.
We'll check back in tomorrow with another update."
