After the last wave of invites tonight: I felt a great disturbance in the Force... as if millions of nerds suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

The whining in the forums about BioWares way to handle massive launch is amazing. They don't seem to get it why BioWare does this and why it is a good idea.
They cry because they cannot play, because they won't receive their emails, why BioWare is "inviting" so "few" players in, but they haven't thought one bit what would happen if BioWare would let everyone play at the same time just like everyother MMO has done. WoW, AoC, ST etc etc. Those launches were absolutely horrible and compared to this, this is the smoothest i have ever seen.

eh what's going on, I'm pretty sure I posted in the tribes thread.

what the hell I thought this was the BF3 thread, sorry

So how is the populatio ratios and classes?
Is it still the case that empire lack healers tanks while republic is low on range dps?

"FAQ: Origin game codes (AKA 'product registration codes') will be sent on December 16th. You don't need that code for EGA, just pre-order."
The third wave of Early Game Access emails have been sent, one more to go today!

GG no re, I guess I wont be enjoying that early access. Oh well, atleast I'm going to get some digital goodies.

PM me if you are insterested as well (or PM Rah if you want to go Empire) That Republic player would be me! I'm a level 8 Jedi Consular on The Twin Spears server and am just waiting for the guild to start up. My character name is "Gonff," and any TLers are welcome to shoot out a friend request. Any idea on what the Republic Guild name should be?
Also, while the PvP exploit may or may not be real, I found a way to get a large chunk of free XP early on in the game from this r2-db.com guide. Here's how it works:
You can take the transport shuttle to your faction's fleet at any level. So, when you start the game, plan ahead of time what gathering/mission/crafting skills you want, get to your homeworld's transport shuttle (for me it was located in the Jedi temple which I got to around level 3 or 4), and go for a ride. Walk in from the hangar and take the elevator to the main level.
Now, there should be a vending machine near the main door that gives you 2 quests if you click on it. One of those is a quest to get your crafting skills. Take that quest, and head to the station wing that houses all of the various skill npcs (there should be one sitting behind a desk for each skill). Your map should tell you where it is.
Once in the wing, find the three npcs who have the skills you actually want, and learn those skills. You'll get a solid 500xp for each of these conversations. After that, proceed to travel around the wing and talk to each skill-training npc. You'll get the same amount of xp just for talking to each one, which will add up to several thousand xp points. This might not be a lot for a character who grabs their skills at the normal time around level 10, but it is a huge amount for a level 4 character.
When you're done just head back to your homeworld and continue with the story. Happy questing!

While this is entirely true and most of those people are stupid, if you watched streams from yesterday Bgs were like 2on2 and some servers had as few as like 40 people online in the early morning. Its one thing to watch them go slowly its another to see an empty ride and be told you cant get on it.
Was part of WoW launch and my server was down like 4 days so I get it, but if it doesnt break today it will just break on the 20th or whatever? I read that servers would come down on the later part of the 19th so you will still have a flood of people log in on the 20th no? The only thing it might alleviate is the website where you need to enter your product code, wont be hit as hard as alot will already be entered.

the same amount of people will be playing the game at the 20th, so i dont understand why they delay access this heavily. Especially with their ability to create several instances of the starter zones. It makes no sense, all they do is make everything empty for now, giving some players a huge lead and annoy everybody that cant play yet.

And make sure the servers doesn't go to hell because everyone is trying to log on at once.

They want to stagger the amount of people in a given zone. It's smart but also kind of silly because that's half the fun of a mmo launch, everyone being new. With 7 days access I have no doubt every server will have a bunch of max levels.
If they release new servers on the 20th I imagine tons of people will just flock to them and make this entire ordeal pointless

Amazon customers, some imporant info. Especially US customers.

they can have like 10 instances of the same zone, they did it in beta with no problems.
