finally beat seth, and pretty much never want to use viper again.
her ultra was craptacularly ineffective, and jumping hk, crouching mk, hp electric thing (that goes over his head unless you are right next to him) worked only some of the time.
characters that have jumping hks that have less range than jumping mks i usually hate

Viper's ultra blows, that's just how it is. NEVER do fierce (HP) Thunder Knuckle in a ground combo, there's like never any reason to. Just do strong (MP) Thunder Knuckle as it does more damage than the jab version. Fierce is for anti-air and for juggles.
Really you should check out the challenge mode and learn a few things about the character, that basic level of knowing "oh, this works" goes a long way.
Waiting for my TE, should be in this coming week~ If it's in good shape, no more playing on this crappy XBox controller. It'll be nice to finally not have to spend $1 a game to train myself to never get that crappy EX Thunder Knuckle on accident ever again.

I don't claim to know much (only that upon playing him, I love the walking combo machine aka Sagat), but everything I've heard is that Viper can ultra 6 ways from Sunday for good damage.
3MC knows his shit though, so I'll probably end up researching that tomorrow ahaha
The combo trials are hard in this game to me. In combos that startoff like jump heavykick, strong punch, low kick special, whats the trick to making the guy be in range for all of them !_! Usually by like the 3rd hit he's too far for my special and then its out of range and I fail ;(

Viper can also easily randomly fail her ultra from like 100 different setups and it always completes the entire animations... totally BLOWS

occasionally its laggy, but you can see the latency of the guy youre playing ahead of time like on bnet to avoid laggy matches. I've played people from Europe without noticeable lag.
