And the scalper was wearing a blizzard employee badge. This only works as an analogy if there's a limited number of Diablo 4 copies, which there aren't.

They proly have data supporting that there is more people willing to buy shit in the game compared to the others complaining about battle pass. Skins etc. Maybe diablo inmortal offered that insight ? Looks like the time were u got a game for X price and thats it is over. Nah, you just gotta buy Indie. Except for very few titles, AAA is basically dead for me, because the games are not designed to be fun, but to sell as much shit as possible.

Maybe the early access thing is an attempt to have a smoother launch? Less queueing due to everyone playing at the same time? Or could it be the extra 20 bucks they get from everyone wanting to experience a new game with everyone else?

If they wanted a smoother launch, they could just randomly stagger the release without having people pay more. Grabbing extra money means that the goal is grabbing extra money, and everything else is an excuse.

Probably should have just delayed to season 1. This race is just a way to boost the games metrics.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but I think they've learned enough from the betas to be able to have a smooth launch barring some big unforeseen issues. They just want to give an extra perk for people shelling out money for more expensive editions. I'm really hyped up and playing next Monday. I'm too cheap to pay an extra $20 for early access and I'm not a fan of collector's stuff. Timing my current game to finish on Sunday. Besides, like Zelda, this is the type of game where I don't care about spoilers. I already don't care that much but I care even less for these.

I personally didn't play the Server Slam because I already uninstalled the Open Beta client and didn't feel like redownloading another huge mass of GBs just to replay what I've already experienced just with every conceivable player number nerf, but I've heard there were no queues and very few disconnects during the Server Slam. Either for once in their lives they managed to supply enough servers and infrastructure for the login mechanism, or there weren't just that many players interested in the Server Slam... We'll see on the 1st/2nd if we'll get a repeat of Error 37, or a smooth launch.

Apparently SkillUp etc. won't post theirs because Blizz still has a 20+ minute on vid reviews blocked still in place. https://twitter.com/GermanStrands/status/1663581547495055360 They probably gave similar high ratings to D:I, so there ratings are worth absolutely nothing.

That is awful, a shit tier rating D4 is an 88, which is very good. only a handful of games get 90+ any game that is 88 in a genre you like is worth playing
