Does he still say this if you killed pretty much everyone? or does the script change?
Thanks
Same thing I got, but I was lethal almost all the way. Always killed with takedowns, only rarely used the stun gun. I never killed innocents or random civilians for no reason or anything, though.
Nope, there was the same script for both my pacifist run and my first run where i killed a bunch of shit.

I don't usually like single player FPS games but I've been having fun with this one. I'm not very far into the game but it's pretty fun.
Only qualm so far is the game changing when you take too long (according to NPC text anyway). I'm an explorer. I check every corner and talk to everyone. I really hate being rushed.

you are never rushed except in special events. But when you finished those events you can still explore the level. And afaik it is only 2 events in the game where you got a time limit for secondary goals

You don't take your time looking around the office when there's a hostage situation going on. Had it been made without this, people would be critical about that.
I think it's great how it is.

Just finished it.
Kind of annoyed how every choice is just kind of plopped in front of you at the end and you are told to pick one, but overall -- fan fucking tastic game. Best game since Crysis, in my opinion. Now I have to choose which RPG is better...New Vegas or this ;-;

Had more fun with this than crysis 2. Will most likely doing a second playthrough aswell. I hate to leave things behind though, so instead of just finding one way to my goals I just had to figure out all options if possible.
Tried to be as stealthy as possible, and only kill "bad guys", and didn't get cloaking, it's a cheap 'stealth' mechanic :p

It's not "cheap" by any means because the fact that all but one of your Energy Cells don't recharge -- and it's EXTREMELY difficult to find the means to recharge them, so you have to use it extremely sparingly.

welp, just finished my first playthrough
loved the gameplay.
the story however was ok, the original was way better i think. Seemed like they were just following the footsteps of the original a bit too much.
game was still great tho, plan on playing through another couple times.

i think what i meant was it just felt to linear even tho we knew it had to end a certain way.
the first 75% of the game story wise was great, felt a lot more emotion.
all the boss fights were pretty disappointing too.
regular combat was amazing

lol yeah some of the "get to x with a bunch of badguys in the way" were easier than the two bossfights i've seen so far. Turns out the typhon basically 2 shots anything and everything ^_^

I have so many problems with the way this game ends. Zero desire to replay it right now.
This game basically is Deus Ex, there are equivalents for a big number of levels, characters and specific situations you find yourself in. It's weird, it's past the point of just being an homage but it's not really a reimagining of the first game either.

I was hoping they'd + Show Spoiler +show more of what happened after each ending choice instead of just Jensen pondering the choice and it's results nevertheless they were quite interesting.
What I really liked was how you would already find lots of information about the research in the very first room of the game, reading Megan's emails, checking the news and ebook... her photo on table, the toy car and so on. Kinda hoped the rest of tutorial level had more secrets and stuff to find.

Well, + Show Spoiler +it was the same in DX1 basically, so I can understand why they went for that approach with the endings.
And yeah, I was looking everywhere in the tutorial mission and was a bit disappointed to not find anything at all.

+ Show Spoiler +Well the endings of DX sucked and they're even worse here. The story was about Adam finding his ex GF and getting revenge, it wasn't about saving the world until they turn it into that at the 11th hour and then they leave the real story unresolved. You barely get to talk to Dr Reed, the relationships get no closure. Then they allow you to pick the end of the story that was going on in the background all the time, they screwed it up so hard. They wanted for how Adam feels about augmentations and what happened to him to be mirrored in how the world will view augmentations going forth, but Adam can go either way because it's a game so therefore they need the world to go either way. The only way the could make it work was for Adam to decide the fate of augmentation technology. It's not presented in a completely unplausible way but it's still terrible. If they absolutely needed Adam to influence the world it should have been in a less significant way and the focus should have been on Adam, who never got an ending. Fuck the end of this game.
The only way to do this kind of story elegantly is in a fixed narrative in a book or film. There you have the arc of the protagonist reflect the arc of the world. The world has its own reasons for turning out the way it does, the protagonist has a proper character progression and you get a nice allegory. The whole point being that you see why things ended up the way they did, it's properly explained and justified. It doesn't work when the end of the story has to support such extreme ends of the spectrum.

I have couple questions regarding how different choises played out to people.
+ Show Spoiler +I saved Malik after the "plane" got shot down and thanks to that she came to pick up the researches from the facility in singapore. Question is how do they escape if you don't opt to save Malik?
+ Show Spoiler +Also theres the sidequest involving Megan's mother, I opted to give her Megans bracelet. If I had kept it, would it have played a role in meeting Megan again? As the game completely forgot about Megans and Adams relationship while being busy saving the world.

The scientists just escape using another jet-copter that happens to be in the facility. I guess one of them is a pilot.

+ Show Spoiler +Megan and the Researchers will just fly out in a chopper themselves , Malik died in my game i was just too lazy to try and save her i jus sneaked right past everyone i didn't have any weapon that could've killed that mech at the time either so.
What i found interesting is that you can find Maliks corpse in the place where you look for Vassili and find Tong instead.

first boss was another story, died at least 30 times to his stupid homing grenades and grab punch + Show Spoiler + same happened here on my first time, but i ran out of ammo, tried to takedown, and died.
then i found out there was ammo in that sockets, but yeah, on the go i finally killed her she was glitched again :D
+ Show Spoiler +You would be like 50%? Theres still quite a bit to do afterwards, side quests and all.
