After playing Paradox GSG, it took a while before adopting to the Civ mechanics and such. I still am but so far so good in my campaign,

Also, if anyone has issues with audio crackling and/or playing to fast, try this work-around. I know it's a clickbaity title but it worked for me

I have had a good experience with the AI so far - first game (Rome, Emperor, Large, Epic, Continents) I settled my second city near a natural wonder and close to the Spanish. Within a few turns they had declared war and weren't far off taking Rome - I was saved by Barbarians! Now Roosevelt keeps sucking up to me and has just declared war on Spain - all within the first 50 turns!

Sure it could use some work but not super passive for me!

Edit: Phillip has now been wiped out!

Playing as Pericles on King/Continents/Standard size and speed. Brazil declared a surprise war sometimes around turn 50 and I quit as I only had two cities and he was about to take my expo. Seems like going tall is only the choice as there's too much early game infrastructure to build. I probably should've forgone getting religion as that cost me a lot of time in setting up GP points and a holy site. A couple minor things I really can't stand, that I have to hover over each tile to see the info box and that mouse scrolling for map doesn't work when scrolling up, at least in my game. I also have no idea how border expansions work, does anyone know? I can't see which tiles are being expanded to next. They also should not have gotten rid of re-rolling maps.

I like the idea of builders only having three improvements and the new movement system. Pretty good so far.

Civ VI priced 220 Liras on Steam. Turkey's minimum wage is 1300 Lira per month. There is no way i can afford it

I am only 1 game in so far but the I am digging the city state and how they function ALOT more. I also think the gold change is much better with the trading etc etc rather then just spaming trading post for income.

So far it seems the ai are really easy. And not having your city be able to attack people makes being aggressive against computer really easy since they can't really tell when your going to attack. Although this change seems much better for multi player since it would be incredibly difficult to attack city in CIV5 when going against a competent player early on.
I may not be the best, but i will be some day...

Probably because in the build that they released on steam you don't have the option for these AI battles.
If you cannot win with 100 apm, win with 100 cpm.

It seems like the AI doesn't play well alone. Currently playing on prince, in the 1400s and 3 civs are dead out of 8. I haven't attacked anyone.

Guys, do you suggest this game overall?
I played Civ4 before a lot, even though I played like shit all the time, I enjoyed it very much. I played Civ5 but not extensively because it feels like a dumb'ed down version of Civ4 to me at that time.

It is an expensive game and I want to make sure I'll enjoy it for some time maybe 50+ hours at least before giving up.

idk if u played the base civ5, but civ5 with all the expansions became a much more fleshed out game. i have a feeling it'll be on sale during christmas so u can wait until then

They will nerf Religion next patch guaranteed. Religious civs are way too powerful.

The whole tech rushing thing seems quite ridiculous to me. I've just reached the modern era in "1000 AD" / Turn 165 in my first game and I don't even know what I'm doing. Thanks to tech boosts researching flight would take just as long as cartography without the boost. My military is legions and 1 musketeer. The AI seems to have a lot of warriors and catapults...

On lower difficulty levels yes. However on higher, I do think players are going to have to do more min-maxing when it comes to getting as much value of tech/civic boosts as possible

Yes, I think that this game is good, and it almost certainly will be the best Civ game once they better tune a few things. I would say that Civ 6 is the graduate version of Civ 5. There's a lot more to account and plan for. I feel the opportunity cost of doing certain things far more acutely in Civ 6 than in Civ 5. Fans of the Civ series are going like this game.

I haven't played yet but spent half an hour looking around the game before I went to bed last night.

I had a few UI issues. Edge scrolling up is annoying since it would scroll up while I'm trying to press menu buttons up there. Probably should decrease the edge area or make you move to the actual edge before scrolling. It takes way too long to get an info box after mousing over tiles. It's annoying and I didn't find an option to make it faster. There's no mouseover info for population growth. It only shows how long before population growth at the current growth rate. There is no fraction displayed on growth progress.

I couldn't find out how border expansion works. Tried looking at the civilopedia and couldn't find anything.
